My mother and I used this hotel as a short stop between the Westland and the Oppland. We noticed again that the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The beautiful scenery is a bonus. Very good dinner buffet, the breakfast perhaps a little less choice, but still good quality. Rooms tend to be small but quite comfy. They offer quite a variety of games and entertainment.

This is one of the biggest hotels in Norway outside Oslo. The location is pretty remote on the mountains above Gol, but the hotel provides you with most of what you need. This is NOT a boutique hotel, but the service is outstanding and the food is traditional and very extensive.

We were on a coach tour and only stayed for a night. Room not bad, not enough lifts and we arrived late so took what was left of the buffet. Lovely view from restaurant. Breakfast was horrendous.. Think we arrived at a bad moment with hundreds of others.. Had to fight our way through to get bread!!! Staff very unfriendly and didn't allow my friend to take out some crackers to eat elsewhere!! Maybe different in the ski season.

Stayed here for a weekend during a conference. It is a huge hotel with nomerous rooms, large lobby area and pleasant atmosphere. As I attended a conference, i did not use the outdoor facilities, this was during winter. My room had most of what you would expect, service was ok, and breakfast was rich in terms of choice. The bar wasn't too over-priced either, which they often are on such spots where guests have no alternatives. Not sure about the price, as the conference fee also included meals and transportation. All in all a very pleasant stay.

We were on a Motorbike Trip through Norway. We arrived from Bergen. The landscape and nature is awsome. I find the hotel via Trivago, we had a good rate. The staff and employees are very friendly, they were pleasured to meet us as Motorbike driver. The rooms are very clean with a great size. The dinner in the Hotel Restaurant was good, specially the starter... crabs, prawns, lachs etc.

The hotel is old, but the way the “Concierge” (reception) handle us makes it worth it. Short stop, a fantastic scenery, if you like to take a walk or bike,... in the summertime. Stop and feel it. 200-300 meters to a downhill ski resort.

Storefjell Resort is located about 15 minutes drive from the railway station at Gol. We arrived by railway from Bergen. The hotel picked us up at the railway station - as agreed. Book the transportation at least the day before. The hotel is quite large. Swimming pool in the basement. We spent a few days during the winter holiday. Lots and lots of prepared tracks for cross country skiing. Two slopes for downhill. And one slope for kids. The breakfast is very good. The dinner bufe likewise (solid Norwegian food). The hotel personell is very nice and service minded. So - to summerize - very nice for families.

Visited this family owned hotel for a successful two day conference. Great views across the valley. Comfortable and quiet room. Excellent food. Supportive staff. Uniquely, it felt as a guest I was free to just enjoy the place rather be limited to a room or an uninspiring foyer/bar as in most corporate hotels. Strongly recommended.
