We spent 4 nights here. Paul is an excellent chef and prepared whatever we wanted. Mornico Losana is off the beaten path so Paul's dinner meals where a GREAT surprise. The pool area is so relaxing. Our room had a very nice bathroom. We stayed in the "blue room" and it had a great view of the vineyards. Paul gave me...

We were on our way back to Fayence and we wanted to enjoy our last night of a week long jaunt in Italy. Originally we had planned to stay two nights but worker's schedules at home forced us to change our plans. Finding the Villa was a bit of a challenge (I left Paul's instructions on my desk at home)...

I was planning our drive from France to the lakes in Northern Italy and decided it was too much to tackle in one day. Plus, there was the appealing opportunity to visit someplace new! So glad we did. I searched Karen Brown's guide online, literally pointing at the screen to find a place not too far from Milan. Et voila:...

We stayed for three nights at Villa Arabella and loved the place the food, wine and Arabella and Paul are fab hosts, and giving us directions to local spots to visit and two golf courses. There are also great walks and just sitting by the pool is also relaxing and very private (nobody overlooking). Will be going back. Carol

Villa Arabella was the launch site for our fabulous 8- day hike following the old salt road through the mountains to the Mediterranean. And what a start it was. Our hosts were lead hands in the design of the route and the choice of accommodations that supported us along the way. And for this alone, they are in a league...

We have just returned from a truly memorable weekend at Villa Arabella in Lombardy, just 1 hours drive south from Milan. We were overwhelmed by the area - a mini Tuscany but without the crowds. The food and wine in area are so delicious Paul and Arabella were the perfect hosts and they have created a home from home. The...

We made a reservation in Villa Arabella for a short weekend, expecting an hours of relax and good italian cuisine. What it came out to be was much more than this: the discovering of an enchanting region, the Oltrepo Pavese, and of two great people, Arabella and Paul. They opened us their great house, their worldwide experiences, their cuisine and,...

Paul and Arabella are fun people and were excellent hosts. The villa is lovingly restored; the grounds are verdant and peaceful. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. We stayed in the "Blue Room," advertised in an email as having a king bed, but it was a queen size at best. Also the bathroom, though private to the "Blue Room," is down...

In March 2013 we restructured Villa Arabella in such a way as to provide our guests with an increased level of comfort and privacy. We now have all three guest rooms with their own en-suite bathrooms.
