Villa La Palagina is a lovely Italian property, positioned atop a hill overlooking vineyards with beautiful grounds and a lovely pool which I spent most of my final day in Italy at sipping on Aperol Spritz. The rooms are large and lovely and I have a weakness for crunchy pea grav

We stayed in one of the villas for two nights. It’s a two bedroom villa with everything we need, even the slightest detail you would want for a kitchen is available. We loved walking along the path of olive trees. Enjoyed having breakfast over looking the vineyard of this propert

The resort is very Beautiful with nice rooms. Amazing view from the resort over the vineyard and olive’s trees fields.

The restaurant menu is a bit too creative and off the Tuscan food spirit.

Area for improvement would be to warm up the swimming pool water.

We looked at over 100 Tuscan hotels online and visited 20 before deciding on Villa Palagina.
We wanted a place where all of our guests (around 120) could stay on-site, where there were lots of places for everyone to socialise, which was well-located relative to airports and touri

How Central is the property for day trips? Never been to Tuscany! Thanks Teagan
It’s very well located, 1 hour drive from Florence, Siena and Pisa. Very close to great Chianti Classico vineyards

Hello, can you tell me if it is easy to reach your hotel with public transportation from Florence?
There is a train to Figline Valdarno but you would need to get a cab from there.

Hello, my husband and I will be staying at Hotel Villa La Palagina for two nights in September, we only have one full day to enjoy what the Chianti region has to offer and we would like to make the most of it. We would like to get some suggestions on places to visit, most importantly a good vineyard, towns to visit by car or by bike, and any other experiences that you can suggest. Also does this hotel offer bicycles for rent or can you suggest a place nearby to rent? Thank you!
yes it does offer bikes I think for rent...

1. How do we get from Pisa airport to hotel by public transport 2 Can we book mini bus pickup from hotel back to Pisa airport on day of departure & approx cost. 3. We intentionally chose to stay at this hotel ( 29/30th August) due to location, are we able to arrange a trip to Stings vineyard close by as my wife is a big fan and is keen to visit for wine tasting. If not is there any other close by wine tasting trips available 4. what events are on in the hotel around that time 5. How far a a walk is the closest small town / village
Hi all, I am looking at booking this hotel for my honeymoon as we would love to visit rural Tuscany. Can anyone give me any advice with regards to the location. Can you walk to local restaurants etc...We will have to drive from Pisa and will have a car, but don't want to drive if we're out of an evening having dinner or out visiting vineyards. Thank you all x
Hi, Hubbie and I met at the nearby campsite owned also by family over 10 yrs ago and married in figline so in good position to advise. We went back last year and going again in August. La palagina is stunning, we rent a car and it's just over an hour to get there. You can park in figline 10 mins away and get trains to Florence (my fave), arrezo and even Rome if you fancy a trek. You can also book on organised trips from the campsite I believe. As for restaurants, there are a few in figline. Case grande where we got married is a lovely setting - you eat in the courtyard. The campsite has several restaurants too and is 5 mins away - many locals eat there but it does get busy, they also have a pizza takeaway. The restaurant at la palagina is good too. You can get a taxi to and from restaurants in figline, just ask the hotel and then the restaurant to book for you. You will probably find you eat a lot during the day though as if you visit Siena etc you can resist. Another amazing place to visit in car although it takes a couple of hours is volterra. My friend is a wedding planner in figline and has contacts at local hotels so if you want to plan anything special I may be able to help. Any other questions let me know. Alison
