I spent two lovely nights in this beautifully restored authentic house in the centre of Excideuil. I had an elegant and spacious room with a comfortable bed, and magnificent views of the garden and the castle. Breakfast was delicious and ample; the coffee was excellent! I spent five nights at Eugenie and Gerard's huge ancient house. The room was amazingly big but confortable.. A nice breakfast with Miles Davis in the background some days, interesting conversations from the hosts, peaceful nights, and a lovely garden too .Try it and see for yourself!

We stayed here for a few nights in September 2015. After travelling around the countryside property searching this beautiful place was a retreat for us very weary travellers. Eugenie & Gerard, and their son, Paul, were the perfect hosts - both in their assistance when making our booking (with limited French on our part) and their hospitality throughout our stay. The stunning property has been lovingly restored, with a sweeping spiral staircase, beautiful shutters, high ceilings, and original fireplaces. We booked the 2 bedroom apartment for 3 nights...
