Thanks for your comments. We're sorry for the stairs and the beams, but in a 300 year old building they can't be removed and it forms part of the charm of the place. We're so glad you had a good feeling after all ! You're very charming people and you're always welcome again.

We stayed in L'Etable gite - 3 bed which was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. Not close to major sights but near to lots of bastide towns, vineyards, chateau and Bergerac. Very welcoming. Dinner on Saturday was a real treat - delicious food. Heated pool is great for all. Highly recommend as a gite holiday.

Very quiet location, long drive from any larger town or city, though all amenities are present. Adorable hosts, excellent 'table d'hôtes', stunning views over the Dordogne hills, rental houses perfectly furbished, child-friendly atmosphere. In short: definitely a place to come back to !

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A 300-year-old sheep farm, which used to be part of 'Le Merle' has been tastefully turned into a small family holiday resort. The old buildings have been sympathetically restored. The perigoudine, its outbuildings and the sports facilities including a heated swimming pool, are hidden in the beautifully rolling landscape. The holiday homes can be reached from the main road along a long driveway. They offer guests peace and quiet, a lot of space and full privacy. You can choose for a holiday house with his own kitchen, or a room with breakfast. There are 3 houses and 4 rooms available. Wifi for free and air-conditioned rooms. ... more   less
