Ipiales is a place that belongs to Colombia. I went when I was 17 years old now I'm 22 years old. It's been 5 years since I traveled to Ipiales. Ipiales it is very cold, in the night it is very dangerous, because there is not much security. The hotels are very cheap and the service is very good people...

I recently stayed at Gran Hotel with my husband for one night. Ipiales is a very small city so the location is central for anywhere you want to go. The hotel has an ample enclosed parking lot so you can leave your car there safely with no problem, and we rather took taxis everywhere, which are usually between US$1-US$3 for...

Clean spacious room with a comfy bed and the shower was warm. Breakfast was a basic eggs and bread but had no fruit and bad coffee. We locked ourselves out of the bathroom but the staff were helpful in eventually getting the right key to open it again. This place wasnt cheap at 140,000 cop for a double but was...

The service was friendly and professional. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. WIFI in the room is not the best, but if you just step outside to the common area (one on each floor) then WIFI is excellent. Hot showers (not the electric shower head). Located right in town (5 minutes from the bus terminal). Restaurants nearby. Just a...

We stayed at the Gran for two nights whilst dealing with border crossing issues. The room was very clean and comfortable as was the bathroom. Bed was warm and cosy even when temperature was cold outside. Unfortunately the shower was not quite hot enough to be fabulous but it wasn't freezing either. The staff are extremely helpful and polite, always...

This is probably the nicest hotel I've stayed in during my south america trip, and, as it happens, the cheapest. The hotel is great: Clean, modern, friendly staff. Just loved it. And for only $30,000 COP per night for a single, the value is fantastic!! I can't say enough great stuff about this place! Highly recommend!
