We spent a week here and it was not enough! The Palazzo is breath taking and Ettore was so helpful about where to go and what to do. You can take day trips to other towns in Umbria from Amelia. We went to Narni and Spoleto. Or you can just enjoy exploring the charming town of Amelia.

Being a guest at this amazing 500 year old Palazzo, home to so many generations of the noble Farrattini family, including some cardinals and even a couple popes is an unforgettable experience. It is indeed a palace, and staying there one feels like royalty. It is filled with ancient art and period furniture, and provides also the comforts of modern... More

The service here was impeccable during the entire month we stayed here. Ettore is a gentle, sophisticated, personable host, who joined us for breakfast, told us wonderful stories about life in Italy, good-heartedly answered our questions, served delicious meals--and cheerfully did our laundry as often as we wished. The palazzo, Ettore's 500-year old family home, is drop-dead gorgeous, with 30-foot... More

I was lucky enough to spend a month living in Ettore's palace and I can't imagine a more comfortable, hospitable and inspiring place to be. My bedroom, beautifully decorated, had an air-conditioner as well as a refrigerator. The walls are wonderfully thick and hence, it was always very quiet. The house, including my room, had free wi-fi. The public spaces... More

Ettore was a charming host and made us feel most welcome in his delightful home; caring for the Palazzo is obviously a labour of love. Our room opened on to the magnificent painted ballroom and Ettore has struck just the right balance between modern comfort and facilities and historical charm and authenticity. Ettore's dining recommendation, La Locanda del Conte Nitto,... More

Wow.... What a fantastic experience staying in a 14th century Palazzo. Ettore has brought this palazzo back to life. The rooms are fantastic and the warmth of Ettore and Scott made our week stay very special. The Palazzo is located in the Medieval town of Amelia. The town is centrally located in Umbria to allow easy access to other Umbrian... More

Wonderful historic heritage! Genuine autentic atmosphere. Discretely modernized, and yet fully comfortable. Small number of rooms and international guests invites to making new friends. Very helpful host. Thank you Signore Ettore for a wonderful stay! Magnus & Kerstin from Sweden

The palace is comfortable, easily accessible and very stylish. Ettore is an excellent host. Amelia is also well worth a visit. Our daughter and 8 month old grand daughter were with us and the public rooms were big enough to be able to push the baby around in her push chair! All together a well worth while experience.
