It is a hotel with an excellent location, very close to the beach and a shopping center where there are a variety of restaurants, a disco and a supermarket.
The rooms are very spacious, the entire hotel is super clean, the pool is large and clean, very good internet connection throughout the place.
We used the restaurant where we bought 4 coffees and they cost us 4,300 colones, served in disposable cups, breakfast was included, if we consider that the prices are very high, there is a soda 100 meters away with very delicious, varied food and a good price .
The staff was very friendly at all times.

Stayed for a week and what a fantastic time we had.
Location was perfect for a quiet relaxing break. The hotel is a few minutes walk from a fantastic beach. Great for hanging out on during the day, or hanging around watching the sunset in the early evening. At the weekend it can get quite busy with locals and their families making the most of it, but that adds to the atmosphere. Cars with local music playing, the aroma of the food cooking, all adds to the ambience.
The hotel has really friendly staff that are more than happy to assist where required but give to the space you want when on holiday.
Food in the restaurant has American influences, so not much in the way of Costa Rica cuisine
Locally there’s a supermarket, then maybe a 10 minute walk you’ll find a few restaurants, outlet store, bar, bakery and a fried chicken take away - do not as isolated as other reviews state.
The only downside to the hotel is the distance from the airport , it takes almost 2 hours for a transfer. If you’re willing to do the transfer time it’s well worth it.
Thank you to all the team.

The rooms are dated. The beds were not very comfortable and when my husband moved in the night it woke me up. We were basically on an air mattress! The pool is nice and well maintained. Friendly helpful staff. The location to a beach only used by locals and a very small number of them is absolutely amazing. We found sand dollars on the beach and had a wonderful time. The beach makes up for the rustic rooms but not the poor mattress.

Hotel to be used in transit as there is absolutely nothing in the surrounding area. Restaurants within 10 minutes by car as well as markets. The area is quiet, ocean 1 minute walk away with a very long beach for long walks. The rooms as already reviewed are dated but comfortable. There is air conditioning, hairdryer, large bathroom, mini fridge and desk. Nothing is missing! The swimming pool is pleasant and well looked after. We stayed for 2 nights in August, the structure was empty, there were only us and another couple so they served us well and carefully, the breakfast was à la carte for this reason, perhaps when there are more people it is a buffet .

The first impression was 'wow' what a beautiful hotel. But building a beautiful hotel is one thing, maintaining it is another At the swimming pool, tiles have broken off, especially at the edges. The rooms have a bath but a plug is missing. Then I prefer a shower so that I don't have to shower in the bath. And it is nice when the shower head sticks. There is good WiFi, an excellent refrigerator and very good air conditioning. The room is never completely dark because the light from outside the gallery shines through the glass door of the bathroom. There is extra light for the outside seating area, but it only comes on at the same time as the lighting in the room.

Excellent hotel to enjoy with the family, close to the beach, safe and accessible. Good service at breakfast and excellent room cleaning. Equipped with just enough.
They can improve at the Sunset restaurant since the service is slow and there are very few options. There was also a lot of chlorine smell in the pool and it irritated the eyes quite a bit, perhaps a more efficient pool filter would help reduce the use of chlorine.

We decided to try the restaurant for dinner on our last evening. We were having a loon at the menu bridge sitting down and the waiter was the by far the best we had the entire vacation and his kindness is what made us decide to stay. He was so kind and friendly. The food was amazing and the prices were reasonable. The curry chicken was spectacular!!! My son loved his seafood spaghetti and my husband was very pleased with his meal as well.

I had not seen any recent reviews so I thought I'd mention that as of April, 2021, this place is still open for business and doing a nice job. They were nearly empty when we came but seemed most appreciative to have guests. We are finding many restaurants and hotels seem to have gone out of business because of the pandemic so we were glad to help a small place, struggling to survive. The location is great, near a nice, quiet beach. We found the room to be basic, clean, air conditioned and quiet. We didn't use the pool but other guests did and it looked clean. We had dinner on arrival and breakfast when leaving and the food was fine.

Try Interbus. They run hotel to hotel and airport for modest fees in smaller buses that are supposedly 'green' sustainable with full carbon offsets. They cover most of CR.
The hotel will have their own recommendations as well, including perhaps private drivers--likely at higher cost. Book direct, usually, for best price, try this link interbus online search.
