Without a doubt the best hotel I have stayed in in my last 3 years of working away mon-fri. Sky TV in the room, fresh coffee and a cafetière, massive bathroom with large bath, 5* restaurant, local ale at the bar (Town Crier) was very well kept and very drinkable!! I travel all year round and this is the best place iv ever stayed at. great place, great food and great service. the room was spacious and in very good condition, fresh milk in the fridge and ground home made coffee for the cafeteria. thank you very much.

Don't even look anywhere else. They catered for my dietary requirements and the food, staff absolutely amazing. Stunning grounds where you are welcome to look around it all. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely stunning venue, couldn't fault the location or grounds at all, perfect for a wedding. Our room was lovely and clean, very sunny. Plenty of amenities provided including bottled chilled water in the rooms, and a large sale room of teas and coffees which were brewed with ground coffee I'm a cafetière in the rooms. It's a treat to find a small independant establish doing things well. My room was spacious and well laid out with good views over the garden. The gardens are extensive and well maintained, providing plenty of fresh ingredients for the kitchen. The staff were friendly. We came for a wedding and it is the perfect venue. The drinks were fab, the food was exquisite and the attention to detail was brilliant. The staff were very attentive to all guests and everything was seamless. We got married here 6 years ago and even though they now do more weddings, the person touch has not been lost....

I booked this hotel at the last minute for my boss and a colleague as we were desperate to get a hotel around this area but most were full. What a gem. Both boss and colleague thought it was one of the best hotels they have ever stayed in, and they stop in a lot of them over the year...

We have been visiting Goldstone Hall on and off for nearly 10 years. The food is always excellent, staff very welcoming and accommodating and bedrooms well appointed. This was as good as ever. We shall return again soon.

As with most Country House hotels, rooms are all different so this review is of Room 14. This is a ground floor room (I don't do stairs and, again as with most Country House hotels, no lift).
