I stayed here for one night from 7-8SEP2016. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible and driving to Mount Fuji we couldn't see anything, climbing Mount Fuji we couldn't see anything, and descending Mount Fuji we couldn't see anything and were drenched in very steady rain. So having a solid rest and place to change, eat a bit, and use the bathrooms...

Look we were expecting cramped accomodation and seeing as we only got 5 hours sleep it was acceptable. However we payed 7200 yen to stay there and were still expected to pay 200 yen overtime we wanted to use the bathroom, completely unacceptable, the last thing I want to do every time I need to go is fumble through my...

Staying at Fujisan Hotel was quite the experience... The sleeping accommodations are two level bunk beds but everyone is lined up next to each other and cramped in like sardines. My boyfriend and I were unfortunately placed next to a snorer so our ear plugs were a godsend. It looked like there were other resting huts further down the mountain...

Don't expect much... I would typically give this place 1 or maybe 2 stars but then again it's a hostel on a side of a volcano! Sleeping accommodation is basic. Don't expect to sleep much. Make sure you're comfortable with whoever you're next to. It's essentially a massive bunk bed crammed with people. At the end of the day if...

"He who climbs Mount Fuji is a wise man, he who climbs twice is a fool", and if he has to stay in a mountain hut I can understand why! Staying in the Fujisan hotel is an experience I never want to repeat, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world! We stayed as part of a group with...

You literally sleep shoulder to shoulder with the people beside you. Absolutely no room to move. The "beds" have a sweaty smell as you can't shower on the mountain and I doubt they ever wash the blankets. It reminds me of concentration camps I've visited.

We arrived at a relatively quiet moment (2pm) and we're forced to eat at 4pm. After diner we were kicked out the diner room and pushed to go to the sleeping rooms. So you cannot sit or relax anywhere, you are forced to sleep at 5pm. Some of the staff is very unfriendly: they seem to be focused to get...

I booked a bed here through Fuji Mountain Guides because most sites said that the huts fill up quickly, and Fujisan Hotel is the only one that will take non-Japanese reservations. It also takes credit card, which not a lot of the huts do. I climbed on a Monday, and most of the huts looked like they had room and...

We reserved this lodge online given the language barrier. When we showed the staff our reservation, they had someone explain to us everything. We had a (small) dinner that was included and was given our rice and packaged fish box for tomorrow's breakfast. Like other reviewers have mentioned, expect little to no sleep because you are packed in like sardines....

We stayed at the hotel as a part of guided tour with Fuji Mountain Guides to the summit of Mt Fuji. Considering that the hotel is located at 3400 meters above sea level and along two very buzy tracks to the summit of Mt Fuji you cant ask for much comfort. We already knew that sleeping was in sleeping bags...
