We had a very good time staying at the Whooping Crane. Don and Christine were wonderful hosts, opening their home to us. Room and bathroom were modern, clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Strong internet signal. Breakfast crepes were fabulous, the coffee was great and bottomless, and we really enjoyed the conversation at the table.

Fort Smith is a nice little town and this B&B is one of the best things here. We were upgraded to the suite which, as others have reported, is very comfortable and very well appointed. The house itself is a beautiful log home with a half octagon front. The breakfast crepe was delicious with a creamy mushroom center and a...

This is the second year in a row that I have stayed at the Whooping Crane. Not only is it very comfortable and beautifully furnished but Christine and Don are excellent hosts for whom nothing seems to be too much trouble. It is worth going to Fort Smith just to stay there!

This is one of the nicest stays I've had in the NWT. Christine and Don are gracious hosts who go far above and beyond for their guests. I would stay here again just for the hot crepe breakfast, made fresh daily. The Suite is very well appointed (even a fuzzy bathrobe) and absolutely spotless. I would stay here again. The...

We had three nights at this very beautiful B+B in Ft. Smith with all comfort in the Karstland suite. We had private bath, a own kitchen and a lot of space in this suite. We enjoyed the french-style breakfast prepared in the evening before. We are sure, this B+B is the very best place to stay if someone is visting...

If you are ever in Fort Smith, NWT, I strongly recommend this bed and breakfast. The unique pentagon shape of the log guest house is matched by the luxuriousness of the rooms inside. Absolutely everything is provided for you. We slept by babies in our beautiful room! The host and hostess are delightful and friendly and willing to help you...

“Karstland suite with a lot of space”

“Two rooms available. One room is a suite with a bathroom and kitchenette. The other room is smaller (but still beautiful) with an accompanying bathroom. I recommend both rooms.”
