We were driving from Milan towards Switzerland and we had nothing organised - I found this place online and called around 6pm and they were able to accommodate us without any trouble. We had no idea what to expect but when we arrived we found this absolutely gorgeous assembly of old stone buildings on the side of the hill. We...

Where to begin? My wife and I celebrated our 30th Anniversary with our first trip to Europe. We started our 2-week vacation with 2 nights at Agriturismo la Tensa. It was the perfect way to settle in after a 20-hour trek from Colorado. We took a Comazzi bus from Malpensa to Domodossola and then a taxi up-up-up on a winding...

A unique restored mini village close to Domodossola in Italy. Chiara and Fabio take care of a warm welcome and pleasant stay. The appartment (Val Grande) is like a cosey house. Including cosey fireplace. The region is perfect for hiking. Within an hour driving all marvellous hotspots are available including romantic Lago d'Orta and the famous Lago Maggiore. The restaurant...

Such a charming, picturesque hotel set in the hills overlooking Domodossola. The view was spectacular, the staff were all very helpful and sweet. Loved hanging out on the deck outside the restaurant in the early evening. The rooms were contemporary and clean but with a rustic, old world charm. We had a delicious dinner in the restaurant and a wonderful...

Risotto with red wine and melted cheese: excellent. My brother's family and mine spent the night at La Tensa and we returned for another night a few days later. Excellent all around and the people are just terrific. Thanks so much!

We just finished a five-night stay at Agriturismo della Tensa. What a gorgeous property and the hosts, Chiara and Fabio are wonderful people. Because we had five people, we decided to rent a car for the first portion of our European trip. By doing this, I found that we could save a TON OF $$ buy finding unique villas away...

We've gone back to Tensa for our 3rd visit in 3 years: it has never let us down. Rooms are still in top condition, very clean and pretty. Food is excellent. The place itself, hidden away high up over the valley, with his magnificent view, is fantastic. One last note on the service: simply superb. Very well done, guys!
