We went with my partner for a quick island getaway last June during our trip to Athens as the island is really close by boat and the landscape and beaches are rightfully praised on. The hotel is located in an amazing location overseeing the whole beach of Platys Gialos with panoramic view from the rooms, the pool and the outdoor...

What a great hotel! Built to be perfect in the last century - still wonderful today! We had a glorious view from our room - there were kayaks waiting on the beach - great swimming - a lovely diving deck into pristine water - an easy walk to restaurants and the bus stop! Lovely staff and a super friendly and...

Beautifully situated hotel, great sandy beach, rocky headlands for snorkelling, and swimming. Great for walking. Hotel has canoes you can use, lovely views from sunny balcony, friendly helpful staff, nice pool. Food was great and some good restaurants within easy walking distance. Thanks for really good memories.

We stayed here in September for a wedding. We loved this place and will definitely be back. This is not a run of the mill resort where you get robot like staff that don't care about their work. From our first email enquiry to our last goodbyes we were treated brilliantly. We especially enjoyed the fact this was a family...

We stayed at the Platys Gialos in September for what should have been 5 nights, but due to the Ferry Strikes we had to stay another 2 nights... it was no hardship at all, even though it did mean that we didn't get to see Santorini which was the island which first attracted us to the Cyclades. This hotel is...

Staying at this hotel is a charm ! Directly on the beach, you can spend hours on a transat, or on the terrace, or in the pool with view on the sea ... good breakfast in the morning, nice rooms decorated with taste. A/C, balcony ... everything you need ! On top of that, the staff is caring and friendly....

We stayed here for 2 weeks in September in room 19 and would recommend this hotel. It suited us as it was in a great location, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The hotel is at one end of the bay with a terrace giving a view along the long sandy beach with the restaurants, bars, pottery shops and small villas...

The hotel and grounds are beautiful, spotlessly clean and many places to sit outside to enjoy the beach. However, the management is completely unprofessional. We booked in March for September. 10 days before our arrival I emailed to confirm--2 emails and no answer. So I called them from the US to confirm. Then from Athens we called again to tell...

Truly loved this hotel. What it is / has: - extremely clean - likely the nicest verandah you've spent time on - very personal and human What it isn't: - a hotel with extremely professional but cold service The proprietors and staff will assist you in any way they can, but in their own time. Me and my wife spent 5 days at this hotel in Platys Gialos bay, and we felt at home. The hotel manager, Mr Dimitris, gave us the best services you can imaging. We received more than we expected.
