Passing thru Eldoret for a few nights and needed a central location and somewhere safe and clean. The Wagon is this. Nothing fancy but for 2,500/= shillings /night including breakfast it was a good deal. Staff friendly and helpful.

The breakfast is truly for champions!! Wide and HEALTHY variety...! We slept in a twin bed room, which was very clean, but the management has to invest in upgrading their rooms to look more modern. Plus the bed covers, yea they're clean, but they don't look so...they look old and dirty which destroys the aesthetics of the rooms...

Eldoret is one of the busiest towns in this country, Kenya offering a variety of business activities. It's a few kilometers from Iten (Elgeyo Marakwet County), "The Home of Champions" as is branded by the athletes around this region and Lona Kiplagat Stadium just to mention a few. Iten is also known for Kerio Valley, one good site that shows... More

Warm welcome but slow service, BBQ food is excellent. Prices are fair Ambiance is not good particularly the restaurant ... small TV placed on one end. Consider installing music for ambiance and flat screen TVs.

I stayed there for over 15 nights with my family when we visited Kenya Dec/Jan 2012. One night I was told that the policy had changed and I would have to pay prior to occupying the room. I gave my credit card and they swipped it. That night as I slept there were several payment attempts from my account via... More

Arrived at the Eldoret Wagon Hotel at the beginning of a 4 day stay. Within 4 hours our (filthy) room had been entered (with a key) and our cameras had been stolen. This without even having left the hotel. It was an inside job, with collusion from one or several hotel employees. We saw the theft take place on the... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group of 65 taking part in a charity cycle ride through Kenya. We arrived after a hard days cycling to be given dirty run down rooms. Some of the group had slugs on their ceilings and we had a clump of hair in our sink and the toilet seat looked like... More
