A one of a kind place with excellent accomodations and the environment is as relaxing as it gets. Agustin, the owner, does everything to make his guests feel at home, and it's almost like living on a small farm, with dogs, cats, and chickens. Hot water in the showers, fully equipped kitchenettes, and close to a couple of the best hiking...

This hostel has clearly changed since many of the previous reviews were posted. It appears the beloved Paz and Matias are no longer associated with the hostel. The current administration is nice and the hostel is in decent shape, but it certainly does not deserve such a high ranking. The description of the hostel being on "an organic farm" is...

Our stay in El Bolson was absolutely incredible thanks to Matias and Paz and their beautiful home. We had been moving around a lot in our travels so to come to El Bolson and relax for a week at Casa Del Viajero was just what we needed. We were left speechless by the kindness of Matias and Paz. The casa...

We echo all of the comments prior to this review, regarding how welcoming the hosts are...They are honestly the most friendly and helpful hosts we have had so far on our travels in South America. Matias is very knowledgeable on local hikes and has useful tips for getting to and fro. Don't let the distance from town discourage you, it's...

El Bolson is already a great chillout spot and this hostel made it even better. The whole place is made for those who want to take it a little slower - hammocks, a greenhouse with herbs and vegetables, a small vegetarian menu prepared by the hosts if you don't want to cook. The spot is a little far from the...

Our favourite place so far in South America and one of our favourite in the world. Matias and Paz are incredibly friendly, helpful and just generally good people who we enjoyed spending time with. We hope to see them sometime in Europe! Felt like we were friends by the time we left. It felt like a home from home! Surrounded...

fantatsic stay for three nights, everything you expect from a hostel and more. Home cooked bread for breakfast, can buy homemade beer plus the meals we bought we large, tasty and just enjoyable. Mathias and his lovely wife even cooked a birthday cake for a fellow travellers birthday. Couldn't recommend highly enough

In the budget category this place would have to be No. 1. More like a B&B than a true backpackers, the rooms are in two cabins - built by the family. It's rustic, cosy and we felt truly looked after by the lovely owners - from their truly personalised service through to their home-cooked/grown food (try the mushroom risotto!). Just...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 4 nights and I've never given an easier 5 star review. Paz and Matias are probably (if not definitely) the best people we have met on our trip. They made us feel at home and treated us as an extended part of their family. Always helpful and generous with lifts into and back...

We enjoyed getting lost, and found, at La Casa del Viajero. Paz and Matias put the care and needs of their guests above all else. From the moment we arrived they were warm, helpful, fun, and encouraging - welcoming us into their family and traveller atmosphere. Their rural setting on the edge of town is comfortable, clean, eclectic, natural and...
