The hotel is attractive and consists of separate blocks set in a villa complex. There was a fine view of the town and sea from the balcony. The complex is in an isolated position between two villages, so it is difficult without a car. However, a reasonable taxi service is available. The apartment was large with a nice balcony and a separate bedroom. There was a cooker, a fridge and a washing machine, though the cooking utensils were a bit sparse. The bathroom fittings were ok, but rather worn. The furniture was simple but ok. Sheets and bed covering were quite narrow, not enough to tuck in (OK in the summer). Towels were OK. The cleaners came in every other day and were friendly and helpful. One of them gave me a cloth to wipe the kitchen surface when I asked.

There was some difficulty with the water in the bathroom one day, but a man came within minutes to sort it out.

The reception staff are all male and not trained in the school of American hyper enthusiasm. The man who works in the morning, an older man, appears unfriendly at first sight, but it is just that he doesn't know that English speakers expect a gushing reception. When you talk to him, he is friendly and helpful. We had a good chat about English TV comedies, which he likes, paradoxically! He wasn't too bothered when I told him there was no paper in the men's toilet in reception; he said the cleaning staff had gone home. I had exactly the same response from a woman in a posh art gallery in Nice; they just don't see it as their job to keep an eye on the toilets.

On the day we left, I gave in the keys at 12 o'clock and sat in the reception area until 5pm with no problem. The older man had a few good chats with me and I ordered a nice sandwich form the restaurant. It has a very minimal menu and I was the only customer that lunchtime, but I had a good chat with the man running it.
He provided a tasty double decker cheese sandwich and some good chips freshly fried, all for 5 Euros.

On the whole, I liked the place and got on well with all the staff. The important thing is to speak to them and explain your needs. It is not a luxury hotel, but in this age of energy conservation I do not approve of the waste that goes on in such institutions, where customers expect everything to be brand new all the time.

It is of course, a location that is difficult for a person without a car.

I would recommend the managers of the hotel: 1. to train the staff in Anglo standards of customer care; 2. to check the number of kitchen utensils regularly and be more generous with the bedding; 3. to repair worn out fittings in the bathroom more regularly.

I'm writing this as I'm here, now.
I read all the reviews AFTER booking. I only saw the few 4 and 3 star ones on the holiday booking website, and at the time it seemed like a less expensive option so we booked.
Reading the reviews after worried me, but actually we've had a nice time.
The hotel is run down. Don't bother going all inclusive as there's not a lot of food/drink options. I only saw people eat at breakfast and the pool bar has a few drinks and a few crisps, more alcoholic ones than anything (and they're generous with the measures). The shop looks like soviet Russia on a bad day (mostly empty shelves).
BUT, the views are amazing and most days we had the large, clean pool to ourselves or almost to ourselves.
Nothing is really in walking distance.
There is a hotel taxi service - its one guy with colourful opinions on all foreigners and their countries. We hired a moped, which was great fun going around the mountains and very easy to get to Paphos and Coral Bay.
The staff are fine once you chat politely to them, but agree it's not american style service or banter.
Our apartment was very clean, the WIFI was better than the UK and we took a Chromecast which worked perfectly on the telly.
There are a couple of little villages nearby (use a taxi, car or moped) where meals are just as nice and cheaper than Paphos.
On first inspection it looks like there's not much for breakfast but when you sit down you're given a menu, with full English and more to choose from.
The eggs were perfect and haloumi on the side a nice touch. It is instant coffee though.
If you can get a cheap deal, it's worth going. Just accept its not like the hotels on the beachfront, more of a base from which to explore than a hotel to spend much time at. In the apartments there are ovens, washing machines, balconies, WIFI, all you need. There is a Cypriot uber for takeaways (woosh or something) which we've used a couple of times.
Our room is quiet at night and we've slept well.
I think we're the only Brits here. Maybe because of the reviews!
Overall, it's a decent base camp and we've met a lot of lovely cats here too.

So after reading the reviews for Club St George, I was worried and didn't expect a good experience

We booked a 2 room apartment and I can honestly say I am impressed with it considering we only paid £350 for the week for 4 of us, yes the apartment is a little worn, but for £12.50 per person per night I thought it was great value, both rooms have ensuite, kitchen has Bosch appliances (self catering)

We reported an issue with the air con and that was fixed the same day, we asked for extra towels and where given them with out a fuss and the cleaner notice an issue with the loo and that was fix within the hour

Staff are friendly and happy to help and even printed our boarding passes out for our flight home with out .

Yes currently only have one pool open and the spa is shut but after speaking to the staff since covid the resort have a large amout of long term let's (year at at time), but hopefully as the world moves on they will be able to return these services

Yes it's remote and up in the hills, but you can get to Coral Bay and Paphos Harbour in 15 mins with a car. Tip if self catering don't buy from lidi's as its the most expensive. Try the Philippos thats in Coral Bay or the Supermarket in the King Ave Mall as they have more of a range and also cheaper in price!

We've had a great week away and a great cost per person

Don't believe what is offered at this complex only thing true is free parking . We booked 1 bedroom apartment. There was no microwave not even a tea towel and bath towels thread bare. All amenities are closed except big pool you can't even get a drink or tea or coffee don't know why it's advertising restaurant, pool bar, indoor pool and spa they are all closed . TV streams 1 channel the news . Unless you hire a car there is no shops or restaurants in walking distance and the shuttle busses advertised are not available.

Just don't book! Extremely bad and unfriendly staff. The whole facility is extremely run down. I felt like I was on a construction site/dump. The complete lower area (gym, sauna, jacuzzi, pool) is completely out of order. Table tennis table without net, pool table with money insert where you have to kick that all balls come, pool dirty &&&. Directly in front of the plant is a huge construction site with excavators, directly behind/next to the construction site is a football field of large garbage heaps. Generally the whole facility is full of garbage!! Our air conditioning in the living room has not been repaired for 2 weeks, every time it said someone will come in an hour. Gas from the stove was empty after 2x use, we were allowed to buy ourselves. Karkalarken in the room! Never been to such a bad hotel complex, extreme potential, extremely bad management. The staff is a disgrace to such a place. Especially the old man at the reception I think would rather die than lift a finger. I have never met such an unkind, fierce and unhelpful person. Watch videos all day and don't even look at you talking. With every question comes actually only "not my problem" ask person X who never comes here. Quite apart from the location who is without a car it can completely forget and even with you are extremely badly located. Not recommended!!!

This was BY FAR the worst experience of my life. I went solo in Paphos for a meeting and booked two night and I was met with a room where the bathroom was taped. the air condition was not working on a freezy night and when I asked for an extra blanket they brought me a stained one. it would have been better to sleep in my car than to stay here again. No human should pay or experience something like that. Club st george FIX your rooms and service. Such a shame for paphos and the location

If you’re a single parent or have a high expectation of having a break. Please avoid at all costs!!!! First of all this resort is in the hills so unless you are hiring a car, you will be stranded most definitely! There are no pavements on the road leading to the hotel.
So makes it quite hard to commute to bus routes etc. Also there are no street lights on the road at night times. The play area is not safe for children, the flooring which is supposed to be bouncy to protect them from falls has become rock hard in the sun. The climbing frame could do with sanding down and a fresh lick of paint. The swings have metal chains which in the heat are scolding hot for little hands.
The gym, the “leisure facilities”, I’m so sorry to say looks very much like something that would be found in a prison. I really don’t like to put down a business but honestly there is no effort in this place. Mind you the corridor leading to the gym is pitch black and the lights don’t work. The indoor pool: well let’s just say they got the indoor part right, if 10cm depth of water full of dirt is what you can call a pool then Kudos to you. Actually disappointed and quite sad to see the condition of this resort as it has great potential. The great thing is I stayed in a villa that wasn’t booked directly through Club st G.. (but still apart of it) they advertised all the amenities as part of the package, but believe me the villa was quite fine without all the falsehood that apparently was to come with it. Definitely nothing like the pictures that are shown, so don’t be deceived!!. Some say you get what you pay for but nobody deserves to be deceived especially when you’re travelling abroad.
Not like you can just drive your car home or catch the train it’s a whole plane ticket fgs!

Oh and the chapel is falling apart

I do not understand how this place is still open. Absolutely disgusting place. Me and my partner came for a nice relaxing weekend. When we arrived the staff were so rude and not attentive at all, he literally told us wait while he finished his game of billiards… Very unprofessional!
Finally after waiting we got to the room which was dirty and absolutely freezing cold, we switched both AC to heater and they didn’t work. We went to have a hot shower and the water wasn’t even running. My boyfriend called the reception to tell them and the receptionist said “I’m busy” and hung up. After 5 minutes he called again and the guy came to our room very aggressive towards my boyfriend and said you want to move to another room? Obviously we said yes. He came back and told us there is only a studio available so we checked the room and it had water but still the AC was broken. With no where to go we had to stay in the freezing cold apartment until the next day. We went to get breakfast and the guy told us “we have only four eggs left, and we are giving them to our regular customer. So bad luck For you.”
We went to the reception to tell the manager what happened he was not helpful AT ALL and actually shouted at my boyfriend! No apology or anything. He agreed to refund us for one night. But not the night we stayed there freezing cold with no water.
Customer service is a total 0
Cleanliness is also 0
Place 0
I hope everyone avoids this place so they don’t have the same experience we had.

AVOID - stayed here and and was greeted to no one at reception. No staff to clean or make food. There is no shop for MILES so you are stuck there with no bottled water or food.
On the second night we had banging on our door receiving death threats from two drunk Cypriot men and the hotel did nothing but moved us to a smaller room than we paid for.

On one of the nights there was NO dinner service.

The pool bar didn’t open everyday due to staff shortages.

The room had ants everywhere.

Disgusting place.

we had a Villa with our own pool. the villa had parking. we stayed 10 days. there were 6 of us. (4 kids 5 -15) the bedding was dirty and stained. one toilet didn't work / AC didn't work we kept having to call reception to request it be fixed. The pool was fine but the tiles were falling off while we were swimming. we did highlight this but they were going to fix when we left. there was another shared pool that was nice - very quite. there pool bar there closed very early. we paid for breakfast but it was really kind of toast and cereals. there might be someone there to provide a cooked breakfast if it wasn't too much effort .
when we checked in there were about 5 guys there and all that one kept trying to sell me was a trip on his personal boat where they did drinking games etc every time he saw me during that week he was asking if i wanted to book. we did a different boat trip , with a different company which was lovely .
there were never enough towels or facilities in the villas. we bought plastic spoons and bowls etc Cyprus was lovely but the resort was shocking it was so bad. i even fell coming out of the pool the last night as the ladder to exit the pool moved from the wall of the pool on the last step. i broke my shoulder and tore my ligaments. i do not recommend this accommodation

I'd honestly stop somewhere else. Myself and partner has the worst 5 day stay here a few years back. Awful food, dirty and in the middle of nowhere.
