We stayed at Woodhaven with our two dogs and had a wonderful time. We booked the Garden Suite but were upgraded to the George Suite when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. We had breakfast included with our booking and paid extra for dinner one evening. Both the breakfast and the dinner were very nice. The suite and the... More

For our week-long stay, we booked the private cottage. We had an amazing trip - swimming five hours a day, BBQs at night, and relaxing the rest of the time. We went into Lindsay one night to the drive-in theatre, and took a few trips into Peterborough for groceries, etc. The hosts are outstanding - very friendly and accommodating. The... More

We stayed at the Woodhaven Lodge for two nights as we just wanted to get away from the city last minute. The lodge itself is lovely and Michael and David went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. We went with our two children (2 and 4) and the 4yo is already asking to go back!

We had 2 nights at the lodge by the lake after spending time exploring Toronto. I am so pleased I found this place as it was great. From our room we had the amazing view of the lake, As well as our own balcony. The suite itself was great, clean and tidy, bed was comfy too. The hosts David and... More

The hosts made the weekend memorable with their hospitablity and openess. The rooms are nice - each with its own balcony. They are simple, but homey. Breakfast is excellent and we were provided with dinner as well. The Inn is on a quiet lake, perfect for swimming and boating. It is near Buckhorn, which is a small but nice country... More

We had yet another opportunity to spend a weekend at Woodhaven. This time we took our two young doggies with us knowing full well that they'd be very happy to be there! We had a terrific weekend with friends and yes, the dogs were spoiled rotten! Lots of space to run and roam, and friendly people all around, our pups... More

Nice lodge with friendly hosts. Room was clean and appealing. Lodge has direct sea access, with some watersports options included, just right for kids. Opt-in for the marshmellow grilling in the evening.

I booked my son and I into this resort solely because the reviews seemed excellent. Well I can tell you, it was true to the "T". David was an incredible host. David and his son Cowynn( I hope I spelt his name right) really made you feel that you were friends for a long time and they asked you spend... More

Finally, a truly dog friendly retreat!! While other lodges/resorts might claim to be "dog friendly", Woodhaven Lodge really delivers. This wonderfully relaxed and unpretentious lodge in Kawartha Lakes is welcoming and accommodating to its canine and human guests alike. The property is lovely and the views are breathtaking. There are lots of opportunities for winter adventuring (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking,... More
