As soon as we entered the Elise Cabin we felt at home immediately. The cosy, stylish decorated cabin is in any aspect very comfortable and for six nights became our idyllic basecamp. Paul and Annelies, the very friendly owners of the Logden lodge, have tons...More

An abolsute pleasure to stay in this beautiful, warm lodge which is very accessible and close to the local town, Ymir, yet you feel like you are lost in the wilderness and miles away from civilization. The cabin had everything we needed and had it’s...More
We stayed at Logden Lodge in Ymir just last week, from the moment we arrived we were treated as a little pack of spoilt princess's as we explored the snow paths to the trickling river. The setting and location is absolutely lovely and a stunning...More

Abaynham hello. Many thanks for your interest in our Lodge and your question. The cabins stand approximately 50 m apart, far enough to offer complete privacy but close enough to walk when booked together for a larger group. As for the wildlife, there is definitely plenty out here, one just always need a bit of luck to get to encounter some. We do keep track of our wildlife spotting on our property; last summer we had 17 bear visits ( incl. one grizzly), and regular sightings of whitetail deer, coyotes and the occasional mule deer. Elk and Moose are usually to be seen only at higher elevation but with some luck you may spot one during a hike. Lastly we were three times lucky enough to have a pack of wolves in our yard, a rare event. Hope this igives some indication, just let us know if there is anything else we can be of help with. With best regards,
Paul
