Myself, my husband & our 2 year old stayed here for 4 night's and we loved the place, great for families. We stayed in a cabin which was clean & Tidy, The only thing that i would say bad about the cabin is that the bathroom is quite small and also there is no lounge to sit on. The splash...

This a great caravan park! We have the best spot for kids with the jumping pillows, splash park, pool and amenities only meters away from our site. The staff are wonderful, the park and amenities are clean and it is central to both Darwin and the gorgeous National parks. Having such a great time, we are staying an extra few...

We got a roomy site for our Britz Van- lovely quiet park with great facilities- Pools awesome- great for kids. Grounds were a very dry and dusty - not sure if water restrictions were an issue- but would have been better with some grass

BIG4HowardSprings, Guest Relations Manager at BIG4 Howard Springs Holiday Park, responded to this review

Thanks for your great feedback, TraceyMark, and we're really happy you enjoyed your spacious site and kid friendly facilities. We have just had a very busy winter season which does impact on the grass a bit. We will have it lush and green again in no time and hope to see you back again next time you visit Darwin!

This was my worst experience travelling Australia. Upon check in we were directed to site 191. After getting lost because half the "streets" aren't signposted we found a bloke in a golf buggy looking confused as other guests were already on our site. He liaised with the office to find us another site for our 5 night booking and put...

Our second visit six years apart and we were very happy. Ablution blocks that were new six years ago were in need of some repairs but overall the park is clean with good facilities and friendly staff. Pool area neat and clean. Sites have enough room. A little far out of Darwin but it is an easy drive in. Has...

Thanks for choosing to stay here again and we're thrilled that you were very happy during your stay. Yes, we are a little out of Darwin, however we are the perfect place to base yourself at to discover Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. As you pointed out our team are more than happy to arrange fishing tours and our Mindil...

Was going to stay in 2 bedroom cabin for a week in November 2016. Did the right thing and went out to speak with the park directly re: dog. This park advertises as pet friendly upon discretion of the manager. We even paid and joined up the big 4 club in anticipation. We were greeted by a young lady who...

We apologise for the miscommunication about our pet policy, Melanie_Deering. We only allow pets on caravan sites and not in our cabin accommodation. We're sorry that this was not communicated in a suitable manner and will endeavour to update our online and in office policies so that this does not occur in future. We really appreciate the opportunity to respond...

We struggled to get the van parked and then to find a place for the car. Not a great park at all. Although beautifully set with palms and roaming Ibis birds who were very friendly, the park was so crowded and everyone on top of each other made for an unpleasant stay.

Only stayed one night on a powered ensuite site, very little room between sites and very expensive $60 would not recommend ....the rest of the powered sites in the park looked to be a little larger. Definitely too expensive for what you get

BIG4HowardSprings, Guest Relations Manager at BIG4 Howard Springs Holiday Park, responded to this review

We were disappointed to read your review, Keysteel, though we appreciate you providing us with your feedback after your recent visit. We do experience a high volume of visitors over the winter season and this has been a particularly busy year in Darwin. The ensuite sites are always a little more expensive than a standard powered site because of the...

Friendly, helpful staff, very clean amenities and well maintained sites and grounds. Lots of activities especially for children. A nice distance from the city but still central with good shopping close by. Peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend.

Well positioned away from the hussle and bussle of the city. Very big park, but the staff have it running like a well oiled machine. There is someone to show you to your site and offer to help position your vehicle. There is a shared footpath/bicycle path that goes all the way into Darwin. You are only 25 minutes from...
