After staying at the Mogan Playa hotel for a couple of years, we had a look at these newly constructed apartments last year and decided to book a week there this year. First of all, because they looked absolutely terrific & super comfortable and second, we just didn’t fit in the Mogan Plays family room anymore (2 adults, with 2 teenagers now counting as adults & a 5 year old)..

Long time we were unsure of whether we could actually go because of COVID 19. But glad we went in the end. The Mogan
Playa hotel facilities only opened on July 17, so first 2 days we had dinner and breakfast (and pools) at Mogan Valle. Fine solution. After that we could enjoy the buffet at the new Mogan Playa restaurant. Great choice!
The combination of the comfort of the Solaz apartments with the facilities of Mogan Playa is wonderful and suits us really well! Admittedly, not all facilities were open (yet), but we didn’t really miss the animation, kids club and bowling alley that much.

In short; apartments really beautiful and comfortable. Good beds, nice showers. Enough space to relax inside and outside the apartment. And enough storage space. Also things like a washing machine and dishwasher make it such a pleasant place to stay.
The jacuzzi is great of course! Very relaxed to have a drink in your own private jacuzzi. We had a 2 bathroom apartment, with 5 people the 2nd bathroom was really welcome!
Only thing was that we had some problems with the airconditioning the first couple of days. Probably also because it wasn’t used much the past couple of months. They really did best to solve it for us. But it got pretty warm inside.

Food & drinks and swimming pools at Mogan Playa, what can I say: very good!
Even new coffee machines at the restaurant with very decent coffee. Of course it takes some time to get used to the new situation where the staff had to put all the food on your plate and distance is required. Results: waiting lines for the eggs in the morning for example. No big deal, but hope things will get better as it’s getting busier.

The Playa hotel really made the best out of these lockdown months by doing several renovations at the restaurant, swimming pools and some of the toilet buildings at the pools. Well done! It looks very very nice. Staff seemed happy to be back at work and friendly as always.

We had the best and most relaxing holiday you can have given the situation. Thank you Cordial staff!

We have previously stayed at the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel and the Mogan Valle Apartments so this year we booked a Mogan Playa Solaz Apartment, these are only a couple of years old and are very stylish, we had a one bedroom on level 3 which comprised a spacious kitchen with Bosch appliances & quartz worktops, lounge area, a nice bathroom with a walk in shower and a compact but functional bathroom. On the same level is a big terrace with table & chairs overlooking the valley with fabulous views out to sea. From the rear of the property a spiral staircase leads up to a great sun terrace with sun beds, shower and a 3 person hot tub, both terraces have concertina sun shades so you can enjoy the sun or the shade. The only criticism I had was that for some odd reason the hot tub attendant would insist on leaving the cover off it all the time which meant it was constantly using energy to heat up. Eventually we managed to persuade him to leave the cover on so we could enjoy a nice hot soak. These particular apartments are just across a minor road from the main hotel but we didn’t mind this as you can still use all the facilities and off road garage parking is provided too. There is a local Spar within easy walking distance with a good selection of UK brands at better prices than home! The hotel is as always a fabulous place with unbelievable gardens and 2 lovely pools, the evening entertainment isn’t up to much but we ventured out every night anyway. Hopefully should be re-booking for next year

These apartments are fab, but they're not perfect, there are design flaws. We had a two bedroom, two bathroom duplex with private hot tub. It wasn't cheap, it's probably the most expensive accommodation in the hotel and apartment complex, so admittedly my expectations were high. One of the beds wasn't made up for us on arrival, which was disappointing as I had emailed about it and got a reply. We got to bed at 1am because I had to contact reception at midnight to get the bedding and of course being in the Canaries there are huge cockroaches which sneak in to the accommodation. The apartment living area was cool and spacious and the bedrooms were small and tight, although wardrobe space is good. Be aware if you're petite, the hangers are semi-fixed and high up. The apartment was extremely clean and the friendly cleaners did an excellent job every day. The full Bosch appliances I thought I would never use on holiday were indeed utilised. There are no instructions, I worked it out myself. The hot tub was lovely, the terraces were sunny and comfortably furnished and I would book the apartment again, but I'd come prepared. There is a lack of mirrors, they are too high for kids and smaller people and it was impossible to see in the en-suite bathroom to put makeup on because of the depth of the sink and shadows. I had to use a mirrored compact which I propped up and then I sat on the toilet with the lid down. The lighting is awful, it's just too dark and shadowy in the bedrooms/bathrooms and there was no full length mirror in the main bedroom. The hairdryer was weird. You had to hold the big button down to get it to work, so unless you've got the grip of a gorrilla it's hard going, I used my travel hairdryer. Getting ready was a challenge, despite having two bathrooms. The air con is set to go no lower than 20 degrees, which is fine (it's environmentally friendly) and it has three fan speeds. The issue is we knew it wasn't working properly in the twin bedroom, it was boiling despite the fan being on full. I complained twice to reception who said they'd send an engineer. Nobody came. At several points it was 26-28 degrees in the twin bedroom in July. Other families staying in the apartments mentioned issues with the air con and one said they were looking to be moved, so as these apartments are relatively new it seems like the hotel knows, but can't fix it. I've written a seperate review for the Cordial Mogan Playa Hotel which, I have to say, is wonderful. If you're a family of three, the suites at the hotel are a good option. The area of Puerto de Mogan is lovely for a chilled holiday. Some great restaurants, but the tiny beach is limited. If you're expecting beautiful white sand, big waves and loads of cool water sports you need to go elsewhere. My advice for families with older kids is you really need to hire a car if you stay here, there is little for them to do in the immediate area. HolidayWorld theme park and Aqualand waterpark are a half hour drive away.

Whilst our Solaz apartment in the Cordial Morgan Playa hotel complex was very good … it was also relatively expensive compared to other such rated apartments.
We had a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom apt with B&B. The apartment was well appointed and the patio with hot tub was excellent. The location is good and whilst somewhat detached from the main hotel facilities, this made for a quiet and relaxed stay. Housekeeping was first class with daily bed/linen changes and cleaning. The buffet breakfast in the hotel is very good albeit somewhat crowded if you hit peek times.
Although there was a large flat screen TV in each room in the apartment there was no reception of English speaking channels, which when reported the hotel reception/maintenance said there was an issue with the system and given there was no Netflix/other streaming services available, the TV’s were of no use to us.
Did we enjoy our stay in Solaz … yes.
Would we return to the Solaz … no … relatively too expensive compared to other options.

Second time in the Solaz apartments as a family of four with two autistic boys age 12 and 15. We booked direct with the hotel this year and were allocated Solaz duplex 103 which is within the grounds of the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel; most Solaz apartments are not, they are separate. What a shambles 103 is! It wasn't cleaned properly, there were cockroaches and bugs, the walls were scuffed, it was mouldy in the ensuite bathroom, there was a constant loud clicking sound 24/7 coming from motion sensors and the air conditioning didn't work, it was hotter than hell. Worse still, the lock on the sliding bathroom door in the ensuite clicked shut because it was faulty, trapping me in the bathroom shouting for help for half an hour! My husband unscrewed the lock from the outside. We changed apartments to Solaz 105 and from then on had a better experience. Cool air conditioning in the ensuite bedroom and living area, although like last year the aircon in the twin bedroom was poor. Very private hot tub on the balcony, great self catering facilities and no clicking noise. We negotiated with one of the hotel managers (Marcos) as our first night/day was ruined and he sorted things out. The Solaz apartments are expensive and the ones starting with 100 have air conditioning issues in at least one room. There are steep stairs in the duplex, making it unsuitable for anyone with mobility/sight issues - please be careful coming down the stairs in the dark. There is a distinct lack of mirrors in the ensuite bedroom which would be easily rectified and I cannot understand why it hasn't. There is space for a full length mirror above an electrical socket. All in all an excellent 6 days of a 7 night holiday, hence I have given a 3 out of 5 review. I will review the Cordial Mogan Playa hotel separately and I hope the hotel sorts out the maintenance issues I have detailed. See you again soon!

We have been coming to the Cordial Mogan Playa since it opened over 13 years ago. The hotel still looks brand new. Even in these worrying times you feel very safe. The hotel takes the virus very seriously without affecting your holiday. We are staying in the hotel’s new apartments- Cordial Mogan Solaz. They are stylish, modern and very high quality. You have full use of the main hotel’s facilities. A very special touch-a birthday cake, sweets and a personally signed birthday wish from the hotel manager for our son’s 11th birthday. A great holiday made even more special. If you are allowed to travel, come here! You won’t be disappointed! Thank you so much and see you again soon!

Stayed for 11 nights in a 1 bed classic holiday home without private jacuzzi. Communal roof terrace with jacuzzi for 4 apartments. Apartment superb , huge terrace with sun beds, table and chairs, Apartments known as Ocean Suites. Apartments cleaned everyday to a high standard. Very well equipped apartments, ideal for self catering.
WiFi could be intermittent, but when it stopped working we spoke with reception who got maintenance to reset.

FOOD: Breakfast available at cordial playa hotel, good choice and fairly quiet. Evening meals at main hotel also. You have to choose first or second sitting, which is a bit of a pain. Restaurant can be quite noisy and we waited quite a while for anyone to take our drinks order on a few nights. Food is ok but I would not book half board again, very similar each night and vegetables luke warm and hard. Not a lot of choice for vegetarians. Desserts are very good however.

As we had our own roof terrace and sunbeds we only used the pools at the hotel for a swim and not to sit by, however there always pleated to be sunbeds available through the day.

Puerto Mogan is a lovely resort, very pretty and I would definitely return.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was clean and modern. We loved the fact we were located in the beautiful grounds of the Mogan Playa Hotel.
The swimming pools were lovely and warm.
The hotel reception gave us a very welcoming greeting but when we checked out we were not asked if we had enjoyed our stay.
I had assumed we would have been asked to complete a guest satisfaction form of some kind.
I really enjoyed the whole ambience of the apartments and the hotel but I found breakfast to be very frustrating. The food was quite good but the plates were cold.
You sometimes could not find a set table or get anyone to bring you coffee.
The restaurant staff were run off their feet and I observed for most of the week the managers just stood and greeted the guests. That's great if they have enough people but they don't. They should have been helping the waiting staff, which they did on two days towards the end of our stay.I found myself irritated and annoyed ,frequently eating most of my hot breakfast (on a cold plate) by the time the coffee arrived.
It must be soul destroying for the waiting staff as it is not their fault that guests like me becoming irritated.
Breakfast was include and we didn't have the choice not to pay it.
We really liked the Mogan Solaz and the hotel but they need more staff in the breakfast restaurant.

Stayed in a Solaz two bedroomed duplex a stones throw from the family pool and a few minutes walk from the beach.
The apartment was spacious, and really well equipped. But the air conditioning was truly awful and it was routinely cooler outside that it was inside. Despite the system being set for 20.5 degrees the coolest the aircon ever achieved was 26 degrees and topped 28 several times.
It was so hot at night in both bedrooms we had to go out and buy electric fans.
There were two other families there who had complained so much that the hotel brought in huge noisy dehumidifiers to try to cool their apartments .
We loved Puerto Mogan but despite the considerable expense of the Solaz duplex our holiday was ruined and we will not go back

First of all I want to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the hotel they made our holiday, they are the most friendliest and happy staff. Fabrizio and Raymond and the rest of the bar staff made us feel like we were part of the cordial family. The apartment was lovely very clean and was a bonus with kids to have a fridge and washing machine we had our own hot tub, but we were on the hotel premises there was 5 of us so we had a duplex. We were 5 minutes away from the pool and the weather was blooming lovely. Half board was great, great selection but after 14 days we went out a few times to Mogan ate in N44 which was over the road and sol and Luna on the harbour front. The Friday market was great. Haggle if you can 😂. Thank you cordial family for a lovely relaxing cocktail fueled holiday.
