This hotel is situated in a fantastic location amid beautiful scenery and easy access to nearby town. The drive through Glenshee to Braemar is stunning. The hotel rooms may be a little tired, but still warm and comfortable, however, this is more than compensated by the general hotel ambience, excellent food and magnificent staff. The welcome we received was exceptional,...

We returned to the Bridge of Cally for a long weekend on the 23rd of October as our base for visiting the Enchanted Forest. And as expected our stay was as good as ever a warm welcome from the staff and a roaring fire to grab a drink round once we had settled. We had a dinner fit for a...

We arrived here at 12.30 after a long walk over the hills. When we went in, the place was empty and someone was washing the dining room floor. I asked for a table for 4 for lunch, The waitress looked a bit startled (!) and then said she would ask the kitchen. That's when I got twitchy and wanted to...

The worst stay we have had in Scotland in a long time. We stayed here for one evening and had dinner bed and breakfast. Firstly, there is no reception and all the staff are tripping over each other and always look stressed. All the staff are from Romania and are very false and over the top, nothing warm or relaxing...

We booked online a room for two people for the 27th Dec to the 30th Dec, three nights. The price was amazing, £72.66 for the three nights, breakfast and dinner included. There were various other deals around that price. Assumed it was to bring in customers between Xmas and the New Year as the location, with nothing other than a...

Stayed here for one night having purchased a deal of one night B&B plus cream tea on arrival. Had a lovely welcome when we arrived but when I reminded the chap of our cream tea, he confirmed they had no scones! At this point I asked if that meant we could have pudding for free when we had dinner and...
