We stayed here for only three days in September. Everything was wonderful, the hotel and gardens, the staff, the room and the food. The bonus was that it was grape harvest time, the hotel has its own vineyard, and it was interesting to see grapes being pressed and even more interesting to taste the end product. Cannot wait to go...

Our large group came to tour the main Casa and Gardens, then to dine at their restaurant. It honestly was a true highlight of my extensive tour of Portugal. We were told this is now part of a very nice Hotel /event group Parador, and that they renovated it with exacting detail. It is fantastic. Fountains and all manner of botany....

What was supposed to be a convenient stay overnight to sample local wines, turned out to be a too short stay. From the architectural and art point of view, plus installations for the ordinary travelling needs, an optimal experience. If you are bound to Vizeu consider staying there. The nuisance of the road time is offset by the lovely experience...

This beautiful Parador is a really wonderful place to stay if you want some quiet time and some excellent wine. The building consists of three sides around a very attractive courtyard with an extraordinary tall fountain. Many of the public rooms have historic decoration, others are simply comfortable. The site is large, and there is a good clean swimming pool...

Excellent hotel with attached museum. Check in was very friendly and fast. Explanations of the property were delivered in good English. Our room was very clean and quiet. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and the waiter spoke excellent English and inquired about our culinary wellbeing throughout the meal. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. The gardens of the property...

Wonderful historic and beautiful Parador. Has been immaculately restored with a sizeable part of the main house kept as a museum-piece, with free tours offered. Lovely pool and a nice terrace with stunning views over the grounds of the house. We only ate in the restaurant one night as was expensive for fairly moderate quality food, and explored other options...
