Mt Rouge - The Attic was clean and well kept. It is a cosy 2 bedroom place with a fireplace and is definitely recommended. It is located close to town and renovated recently. The manager and the staff is friendly and helps where they can. Thank you for a great experience :)

We had spectacular view on the mountains. Thanks to our welcoming host Riaan. We had a wonderful few days and enjoyed a cup of coffee on the balcony of the attic. It is decorated with style and focus on detail. There is a hiking trail within a short distance from the gate and few minutes walk from the main street...

What a lovely setting, a beautiful mountain view, an easy morning walk along a designated path starting just out the main gate, a fireplace in the centre of the cottage for that crisp evening and a comfortable cosy fully equipped unit. A lovely stay in a lovely town.

We loved the place, the tranquility, the lovely garden, the views and the accommodation was lovely! We will definitely be returning! Riaan was very friendly and accommodating! We stayed in the Attic, lovely place, my kids loved it too! My little one could roam around the garden and it was safe and secure!

We, myself, my boyfriend and my parents, stayed in the Hakuna Matata rondavel at Mont Rouge in early March, and were very impressed. The place has everything one could need, each with an en suite bathroom with bath AND shower, very spacious, and well decorated. We were very happy during our stay, and were able to explore the town to...

We had the pleasure again to stay with Riaan at Mt Rouge and had a relaxing and memorable weekend.. sorry to hear negative reviews that could have been avoided. The rooms have always been very tidy and clean and he is totally invested and on top of things even for a man... just a joke... He takes criticism and suggestions...

Friendly host. Stayed in the appartment 'the attic', which was clean, spacious and had very comfortable and cosy furniture. Wifi was a bit weak on the ground floor. 2 bedrooms upstairs, while bathroom is downstairs.

Continuing on from this weekend it seems like the manager just keeps trying to defend himself - interesting that he won't mention how we had blood stained linen which we had to sleep under which we initially did not want to complain about because we thought 'he is so nice to accommodate our disabled child'. Talking about our disabled child,...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your stay at Mt Rouge and also the feedback. We take every review serious and will do our utmost to resolve any complaint. The 2 Bedroom Chalet was booked by you. “Stay in the main house. Saw that there was another room in a log cabin of sorts and read a review here which said it was poor value - so cannot comment on that other room. The main house, however, was excellent value at 500 Rand per night.”
