Booked for 6 people at Lake Clarens. What a unprofessional rude reception by the Chef. The lady talk to us as if we where kids, load unpleasant voice (ask us why did we arrived to late [17:00]. Told us that she will not be able to serve us breakfast before 08:00 as stipulated on their quote. I responded that we...

I would like to respond to Mrs Ria D on her first Tripadvisor review. The University booked six people at our establishment, one lady and five men. They all had their own rooms. The university has been using our establishment for the past 15 years and I have never, ever received such a negative review from the guests from the...

This guest house has a friendly aspect in all areas. The rooms are excellent and comfy plus the staff are brilliant. Add to that its location and aspect receiving the sun in the early morning makes it divine to breakfast on the terrace. Also waking up and finding the car cleaned was an unexpected bonus.

Good accommodation with friendly hosts and staff, The breakfasts were great and plentiful with Clarens itself an interesting place to visit. Nearby on the grounds were ducks and geese which to watch and hear gave great entertainment.

Spent one night to end of a fantastic 4 day visit in the Clarens area. Must give compliments for the heating in the room and bathroom. However the day of our arrival we saw no management representation. Milk provided in room was sour. Safe was a domestic safe and not a hotel safe, locked and unusable. Queen size bed mattress...

IVAN D 1 MAY Tripadvisor I refer to TripAdvisor review by IVAN D, on the first of May 2016, who mentions that he stayed with us during the month of May 2016. The whole review is quite suspicious and I wonder if it is not opposition putting somebody up doing such a negative review. We have perused our records and...

Comfortable room, great view of Mount Horeb from room. Breakfast with a wide variety of choices outside on the patio with fabulous view of the mountains and golf estate was excellent. They succeed in keeping the old world charm alive at this guest house.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming guesthouse. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed extremely comfortable. There was TV in the room with tea, coffee, fruit , rusks and a bar fridge. We were served the most delicious breakfast which included muffins straight out of the oven. The staff were friendly and helpful and the owner Bruce was...

We are fortunate to be able to travel all over the world and Lake Clarens Guest house has to be one of the most satisfying experiences we've ever had. Bruce and Kieta are the wonderful hosts. Friendly, attentive and made us feel very welcome. If you are fortunate enough to travel to the Golden Gates and Clarens, in particular, we...

This perfectly situated B&B sits at the lower edge of Clarens with lovely views over the surrounding hills. With interesting shops, village green and restaurants nearby, this pretty small town has an atmosphere all of its own. Our accommodation was in a two bedroom/two bathroom cottage to the side of the main B&B - sufficient for our needs but some...
