We spent three nights here last April. The accommodation and breakfast was faultless and overall the stay was extremely pleasant and relaxing. It's in a central location, close to shops, bars etc but still quiet and with parking.

Ashfield House would be easy to miss as it's set back from the main square with an unimposing frontage that sets the tone for the whole of the building. It's old, quaint and has stacks of character. We stayed for two nights in a comfortable room with cooked to order breakfast, free home made cakes and an honesty bar. The...

The only redeeming features of Ashfield House are its location and the exterior , which is chocolate box pretty. As soon as we set foot inside, we were struck by the cold , several unlit fires and the inappropriate tacky leather furniture in the reception areas. It felt really unwelcoming. The staff were 'in your face' , going into great detail...

The two most recent reviews pretty much sum it up for me. My main complaint was the heating (or lack of it), the brochure makes a point of mentioning the log burners in the lounges downstairs; being December it would have helped if they had been lit! We were informed on arrival what time the heating was on during the...

the village of Grassington is idyllic, lots of hotels and bars to chill out, we stayed at Ashfield House for 2 nights over a busy weekend, chosen because of the good reviews. on our arrival we were greeted by Robert who helped us park the car as it is a very tight carpark but nonetheless free with the stay, we...

We stayed at Ashfield house, but found it a bit dull. We had been led to expect better from the reviews. Breakfast in particular was very dull. Tasteless eggs, undercooked tomato, and cheap sliced bread. All felt a bit cheap. The furniture was boring and lacking in charm, nasty tacky leather sofas in the main lounge, modern pine in the...

What a fantastic place, a home from home. Joe is a wonderful host and made our stay perfect. The room was very comfortable and the tea making facilities were exceptional, fresh milk and home made cookies, my wife is coeliac (mentioned just once) Joe provided gluten free cookies! We loved the breakfast, everything was cooked fresh and was the best...

We arrived to a very friendly reception with tea and biscuits served before being shown to our room which was a delight, a good sized bed and two very comfortable arm chairs. The entrance and car parking are somewhat cramped but once you got used to it was not a problem.Great breakfast served by two extremely polite young ladies with...

We booked a 4 day break to celebrate our 47th wedding anniversary, Joe and Elizabeth were brilliant hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and the breakfasts were to die for. We spent our anniversary in the beautiful garden drinking champagne.
