Stayed as a single traveler for just one night. I took along my little dog Lottie who Mark and his team made just as welcome as they made me feel. The room was spotless, comfortable, well designed and great value for money. Lottie and I went into the bar/ restaurant for an evening meal, we where promptly shown to our...

My wife and I were recommended this beautiful thatched pub by friends. Easy to find with plenty of parking thus pub truly looks like a chocolate box picture. It was 1pm and very busy so book if you intend going. We had a bench seat right by the bar and were seen to very quickly. The waitress was both polite...

Beautiful place to stay, eat, repeat... Staff are super, great personalities; food is excellent; locals and not so locals all made to feel welcome. We stayed there February last year and have been back several times for food and drinks.

Not many people I know have spent the night in a 14th Century Devon longhouse. Well now I have, having spent last night in the truly unique surroundings of the Cott Inn. Pretty as a picture from the outside, it just gets better as you enter the inn. There are only 5 rooms;we were in room 6 (how does that...

This is my second visit to the Cott Inn. If anything it has got better. Accomodation and the Restaurant are first class. Imagine the atmosphere when dining in surroundings built in 1320!! It is one of the best 30 pubs in the U.K. (Daily Telegraph). Such friendly staff, on arrival on a very wet evening I asked a member of...

We had a great stay at this property. Our room was not very big, but it was quaint and comfortable. Once the pub closes, it is very quiet and we slept really well. We had our dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. The breakfast was good. The poached eggs were much nicer than the full English. The sausage...

The Cott is an old thatched long house and a wonderful pub and restaurant with very pretty en suite bedrooms. The food is very good as they only employ 1st class chefs. The bar is well stocked with real ales and excellent wines. The staff are always very welcoming and helpful. They also have an outdoor kitchen and dining area...

Although to be fair was acknowledged. We were served by a very polite and attentive waiter. The meal came .Adequate portion of meat but potatoes...

This was our first visit to the Cott Inn and we expected it to be ok but perhaps mainly orientated to the many passing tourists in the Dartington / Totnes area. We were delighted to be proved wrong. Arriving without a reservation (but with a dog), we received an extremely warm welcome. We were soon seated in the bar area...
