Just got back home having travelled 21/09/22 - 28/09/22. X2 adults. Stayed in room overlooking the hills, so you get the sun in the evening until it sets over the hill ! As per all the other reviews it's a lovely quiet hotel with good facilities. If you want 'lively' this is not the hotel or resort for you. Change of bedding & towels x1 during our stay. Bin in room emptied everyday but bed only 'made' a couple of times during our stay. **However, one petty incident has left a sour taste involving the female manager. On our 6th afternoon (we had spent every day around the pool sunbathing) ...... I had been to the nearby mini market and purchased some water, soft drinks for the evening on the balcony. I had walked past the main reception area, down to my wife on the sun lounger by the pool to get the key card for our room. Next thing the female manager appears asking if we'd booked a massage?? I'd been sat down less than minute. About another dozen guests all around us on other sun loungers. Nothing said to anybody else about a massage being booked ? Stated we hadn't booked anything. The real reason she appeared became apparent. She then pointed at my plastic carrier bag making reference that those goods should not be consumed around the poolside. She then walked off to the pool bar not asking anybody else if they'd booked a massage! I was livid, fuming, as there was no need for this from said manager. She had obviously gone to the pool bar to inform staff to keep a watch on us and the purchased goods! We must have spent a good few of our hard earned and put £££'s into the hotel coffers whilst staying at the hotel. Drinks / snacks / bar meals around the pool every day, along with a couple of evening visits to the hotel restaurant to eat during our stay. As I say, a 'petty incident' an uncalled for and unnecessary approach from the manager. She'd obviously seen me walk past the main reception with the carrier bag thinking I was going to consume the contents at the pool side. During our stay I witnessed plenty of other guest's consuming their own drinks /food around the pool, not purchased from the hotel pool bar but nothing said to them. Nice place but sorry we will not return now…

Amazing hotel! This was our first holiday as a couple, we wanted a peaceful relaxing holiday and this was exactly the place for that. The rooms are modern and lots of space for a couple (beds are super comfy!) The room was cleaned every day with fresh towels every other day. All of the staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. I must admit breakfast wasn't the best but as a young couple we much preferred the extra hour lie in and a walk to the beach for brunch. It's just a 10/15 minute walk to the beach with all different tavernas. We went to a different restaurant each night and I highly reccomend cozy restaurant! Follwed by Alexis coctail bar. Most days we ate lunch at the hotel and a night at the bistro, all the food was amazing and the waitress was brilliant. All reasonably priced - every meal was exceptional. Most of the guests are older couples and sometimes we did feel like we weren't wanted (a few funny looks) and staff didnt engage with us like they would with the other guests. We knew this would be a quite location and that's what we wanted! But on day 4 we met a lovely couple who always made conversation and made us feel included. The only reason I wouldn't return is because we want to discover different parts of the island but already looking for our next holiday to kefalonia. Amazing hotel and a fantastic holiday.…

We loved this hotel and plan to return. The rooms are set out around a lovely pool and there are always plenty of sunbeds. The staff are helpful and friendly.We had lunch at the hotel every day and it was always good. We were served by Christos who was very professional but also friendly. There were two Christos working in the bar but we were served by the one who was not a member of the family who own and run the hotel. Also worth mentioning is the very reasonable price of drinks in the hotel - 10 euros for a very drinkable bottle of rose. The only disappointing for us was the breakfast - plenty of choice but not the best quality.

Just back after a week....chilled out, like our first visit last year. No loud music or bombing into the pool.... clientele is an older level in Katelios...I'd say from 30s upward...the staff maybe come across as a bit reserved...I think it is the culture...not a place where you will be asked to get involved in activities....

What a lovely relaxing place. Staff were pleasant and welcoming, rooms spotlessly cleaned every day, comfy beds, amazing views of the hills, good food and a well stocked pool bar. Just what we needed for our first trip abroad after Covid. Would happily return.

As an avid researcher when it comes to holidays I can say I really came up trumps with this one! When you find a great hotel you are always reticent to share reviews as great reviews attract people like myself! However it is only right and fair that this hotel and its wonderful staff get the glowing review they deserve. Every single one of your staff are amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble, they are all friendly and helpful - you really can't ask for more. I can only really echo everything positive previous reviewers have written. For us the space around the pool meant there was no battle for the sunbeds in the morning which made for a relaxing delicious breakfast, I especially enjoyed the pancakes. The calm relaxed vibe in the bar in the evening was just right. The chilled atmosphere with popular music played at just the right level was great. If you want to try something Greek I can recommend Ouzo and Orange! We loved using the balcony too as it was a little cooler than the pool area. The distance to the front was just perfect - about 15 minutes to a strip of enough restaurants and bars for most tastes. To be honest we always ended up back at the hotel bar for a nightcap! If you want a quiet, friendly, chilled, relaxing holiday enjoying beautiful Katelios and Kephalonia look no further.…

If you want a full on lively holiday with loud music and people jumping in and out the pool etc then this isn’t the place for you. What a fabulous well though out hotel to come and relax with likeminded people. Loads of sun beds spaced well apart. No morning rush just relax and come down for a lovely breakfast and then when your ready pick your sun bed, bliss. Breakfast was very good, they definitely must have considered the previous feedback on here. Beans, sausages, eggs, etc if you want it plus fresh fruit and cereals if you don’t or have it all. Staff are really nice and all guests are shown to there rooms. Bar prices cheaper than some of the tavernas. Free beach towels that are large and fluffy and the sun beds are comfy. Loads of shade if you need it and sunshine if you don’t. Very clean rooms and bedding changed every other day. Aircon works well, just set your own temperature. Free small bottle of water everyday and a complimentary bottle of rose wine each on arrival. Free safe and good Wi-Fi. The sea front is a nice stroll in the evening with plenty of restaurants and bars to keep you amused for a weeks holiday. There is a supermarket a short walk away. Top tip for hotel. They sell six packs of water at 30c more than the supermarket so don’t spend time and energy carrying it. Don’t hesitate, book this hotel you won’t be disappointed. Top tip for resort. The house wines are really good value and never had a bad one.…

Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Katilios made even better by the wonderful Magnolia resort hotel . The staff are friendly and professional and nothing is too much trouble , fantastic pool , with plenty of sunbeds .The rooms are lovely , great shower and very clean , the ladies did a wonderful job everyday. If I was being picky then I would say the hot food at breakfast could have been hotter , it was only ever Luke warm , but other than that everything was great. Katelios is a nice resort , chilled out vibes and great taverna's , we didn't have one bad meal all week.I

Just come back from a week here … will be returning . This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff are amazing , hospitality at its best . Alex went out of his way to help us book a boat trip ( we left it until the last minute). Nothing is too much trouble for any of staff , George was amazing at the bar , the whole family who run the hotel , breakfast staff, dinner staff cleaners the list goes on. The hotel is gorgeous , clean, peaceful the family have created this hotel with love and it shows. We ate at the Rosebud Bistro on-site for 2 evenings the food is the best so fresh and cooked to perfection. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choice .
