This is very expensive. AED1500 for poor wifi, Nescafé, a sofa bed that an adult cannot lie straight on and is not flat, minimal bathroom amenities, one bottle of water and no breakfast. The views are lovely and original but way too expensive.
I liked this place, it is quiet and calm. The views from the lodge surrounded by mountain is nice. The lodge is very clean and the size is good for a couple. The lodge has its own balcony with chairs and a large bean bag. It has also a place for BBQ, but I have not used this service; I expect that they can supply the grill and charcoal, but you need to bring your food with you. There are plenty of activities around: Hiking, Mountain Bikes, Archery, Zoorbing Ball and many others.
Hatta is one hour and 30 min drive from Dubai. The place is lovely and you can find many many activities here! We stayed in a Caravan and a lodge, last visit we tried the sedr trailers. All accommodations were lovely but trailers were very relaxing and peaceful. So if you want crowd and activites go for the other options. Special thanks to the best guy there, Rabeae. My only comment is the housekeeping issues, they take long time and the caravan was not prepared with all amenities. Even we asked for few missing things on the last day and we did not get them anyway.
Finally we managed to secure a booking at this beautiful experience at Hatta considering how busy they are “not surprised”. From the welcoming of the team to the full get away we felt at this exceptional spot, the hospitality is fantastic with the family feeling from all staff. Special thanks to Mr. Rabei Who made it super hard to leave and cant wait to be back. Regards H&M
Nice to enjoy the silent of nature, clean room with amazing view of the Hatta mountains, keep in mind to bring your own barbecue supplies, if not there is a supermarket 5 min away by car to get what you needed, we enjoyed cooking outside, night view amazing. They have some activities, but we did mostly hiking around the area. The place has no room service not serving food. You can order from restaurants around but the food wasn't good honestly so we dependent on on our own cooking. The WiFi is very weak but it was an advantage to be away from our phone.
The lodges were superb in terms of design and interiors, but there were some management issues that were seriously frustrating. The various services on offer are managed separately by 3 or 4 different desks and no-one seems to be coordinating between them, although they're all under the umbrella of the property. You literally have to visit 3 or 4 different desks (which are right next to each other) to book outdoor activities. Good luck trying to book a BBQ experience too. They'll tell you to book the food separately with one of the restaurants, and the grill separately with the reception, and then you'll end up with the food and grill but with no tools to cook with. They'll make you do all the running around. When I informed the reception that one of the property drivers asked for coffee, water, and bakhsheesh (money) for taking us on a 1-minute drive, they told us that this activity is not managed by them, although we literally booked it at the desk within the property itself. No sense of responsibility. If I am paying more than 1,000 Dirhams a night, I expect that the property will take care of everything and not make me do the running around. Apart from these issues, everything else was perfect. The outdoors activities were fantastic; especially the farm / mountain cycling experience. I found the cycling team to be the most professional and helpful out of all of the hotel staff.…
The worst experience ever!! The smell of sewage in the Dome. The complimentary breakfast that is only for 1 with a family of 4. The noise from the buggys none stop. Lack of organization waiting for the buggys. The activities are all not included and no one knows where to send you. Never again!!
In campsite we were promised the ultimate camping experience, no electricity as this was only for the caravan spots. In the caravan park right next to us a caravan with a generator was allowed as there were no electricity on this spot. When complained to management that the noise of the generator was disturbing the peace an our promise of ultimate camp experience was ruined we were offered to move (3 families with tents already set up) or leave with a refund. This is the service that they provide their customers. 1 caravan with a generator to spoil it for everyone else because "the are local". Buggies that drive customers up to their huts in the mountains crossed our camping site, which is not even on the way at 2 am. Ever thought of getting Hybrid for your sleeping customers? Weekend of school closure all the water activities were stopped for inspection during the day - why is this not done before the school break, and when you go down to the reception they want to huddle you outside the bloody heat just to not make a scene in front of other customers, and the manager shrugged his shoulders with an ouefff when you ask him not to interrupt you = WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND ZERO MANAGEMENT SKILS - HATTA WILL NOT SEE US AGAIN. Cycling in the mountains, 38 degrees my 9 year old son was asked to put his t shirt on not to offend other customer - THIS IS ABSURD.......the most ridicilous rules for a very unimpressive stay where the customer is a nuisance and only apparently the passport of the customer would get a nod or a pass…
It was an amazing experience staying at the Dome and a great escape from the city, it gives you a completely rustic vibes. The site is along the trail so it's a perfect accomodation after trekking. The place is Immaculately clean and the staff are very good and attentive to our needs, they even take an extra effort to facilitate our outside food delivery orders. The Dome also serve a hearty breakfast which we enjoyed especially the shakshuka. The few that I could suggest for improvement is that they should use an electric buggy to minimize the noise during night time and pin there location on Google or other apps so that it would easier to locate the place or post some bigger signs along the road.
Staff were great at check in/out and over the phone. Cart drivers always prompt, any requests for extra water/lifts etc were dealt with extremely quickly. The lodge we stayed in was really well put together which you expect for the price! Fridge was awful. Good storage. Sound proofing and air conditioning were concerns before, but both were excellent. Shower was warm with good pressure. Bed and pillows were fine, my wife brought her own pillow as we read some bad reviews. I used the pillow provided and it was fine for me. Grill areas were fine, they only provide the base/grills. We brought our own food but I think you can buy chilled food there too. Very expensive but nice break from Dubai, we plan to stay again in the winter. Negatives to consider: The fridge is small and rubbish. They only provide water in 500ml bottles, and there’s no recycling on site from what I could see. Balconies are exposed so super hot in the day.…
