Great place to go to either stay or eat. We went for a family meal and it was everything you could want. Wide choice of food, cosy bars and helpful staff. I've also stayed at the hotel which is a great bonus to the Bishop's Castle vibe!

Recently stayed at this hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We took our dogs with us and the box in the room was a great idea as had bowels and towels and even treats. Breakfast was amazing and such a great choice. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys walks and a dog friendly environment....

Many hotels train their staff to be friendly, but here the willingness to help and the genuine friendliness of all the staff was far beyond that. From the minute we arrived with our 2 small dogs we were met with a cheerful eagerness to help which was so refreshing and made is relax instantly. The rooms and decor are tasteful...

Lovely welcoming, relaxed, and dog friendly hotel in a superb location. We only stayed one night to break our journey home to West Wales, but thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, food, beers (OH) and accommdation. We will certainly return!

I came across the Castle Hotel while looking for a dog friendly hotel which we could take our friends away to for a treat. And what a find it was! The rooms are beautiful; the beds are super comfy; the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming. The doggie welcome box was a nice touch too. All...

Debbie and her team made us feel so welcome, they're friendly, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was one of the nicest we'd stayed in for a while with a lovely bathroom complete with walk in shower. The facilities in the room were good and it was spotlessly clean. The hotel is perfect for an overnight getaway or...

Another fantastic stay! We were upgraded to Market Square cottage, their new accommodation, wish can be self catering or serviced. Was fantastic! Comfortable, warm, well furnished & equipped cottage. Up to the normal exacting standards of the Castle and loved the Dachshund theme!! Would definitely recommend!!

Visited the Castle Hotel and the end of January for a Sat-Mon weekend away. Having never stayed at a dog friendly hotel I was a little worried how our grumpy 10yr old Tibetian Terrier may be especially around otter dogs. Rather than book one of the hotel rooms I booked the Market Square suite knowing that as the dog could...

Super room, tasty dinner and great breakfast all delivered by friendly and efficient staff. Good touches like fresh milk being provided for the room makes all the difference and was...

We stay here often as it is situated in a charming town in an unspoiled, beautiful part of England. The hotel is a fine old building, with a large, attractive garden, comfortable, very clean, tastefully decorated rooms, a fine oak-panelled dining room, a spacious bar area and excellent food and drink. The service is also excellent.
