We went for a two week stay with a two bedroom apartment for a family of 5 (3 young kids) with breakfast included. The highlights were the pool and slides which kept the kids entertained in day. The rooms are well equipped and cleaners come in every day. The whole site is kept spotlessly and COVID secure with everyone wearing face coverings etc. The breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The staff in the restaurant were friendly and helpful. The pool bar staff are very friendly.

The staff on reception tried but the language barrier was very difficult with them speaking limited english. We relied on Google translate. Definitely given me new impetus to learn Spanish. This may be why we were given incorrect advice on a couple of occasions. Especially, one was costly when we were told we could catch the interbus from the town hall to Murcia, which was were we were going to get PCR tests. This was not the case. The hotel pool could also be doing with sprucing up, lots of tiles round the pool missing and need replacing. The kids club we couldn't use. The kids went in once and came out before finishing saying they could not understand the instructor's due the language barrier. The evening entertainment was either not existent or pretty poor. For example, a 30 minute mini disco which our kids found boring. This means there is nothing to do in the evenings and the local town is an hour walk away. The euro bus does supposedly run to the town but of the 4 times we tried to catch it only turned up once. Some other things we found frustrating we had very limited running water from 8-10ish most days, I presume this is when there is highest demand. That said I haven't paid thousands to not be able to shower and get the kids cleaned for bed when we need to. This to me was my biggest gripe.

Overall we had a good holiday but would not return.

Dear guest, First of all I would like to thank you for your review as this is the best way to know our guests’ feelings during their stay, marking us the way to obtain a product adapted to everyone’s needs. I am disappointed to hear that you had decided not to return. We appreciate the kind words about our staff although the reception staff was limited when it had to speak English, which will not be the case next season. Regarding your comments about the evening entertainment at the hotel, I am pleased to inform you that we are committed to finding other alternatives as we have not had any complaints so far in this regard. We will work to improve the marked points in order that your next visit and your perception of the products received is totally satisfactory. We are at your disposal at any time and hope that you return to visit us soon. Yours sincerely, Mario Pérez General Manager

Well dont listen to some of the reviews. This hotel now has a new manager who is trying his hardest to make things right. The apartments are very clean and tidy with very good air conditioning. The hotel rooms are lovely and spacious but the rooms dont cool as much as the apartments. The cleaning staff started at 7am every day cleaning the pool and the surrounding areas. Our room was cleaned 3 times in the week we stayed but they need to make sure toilet roll is replaced we had to keep asking. These apartments have everything you need a washing machine, dishwasher and fridge but there is no sponge or dishcloth and tea towels for drying the pots. The nearest shop is 25 min walk so you need a taxi to bring your shopping back. You need to get a taxi each night to The Square which is about €10 or €12 euros each way the walk takes about an hour. There is not alot to do in Los Alcazares just a few shops and restaurants and we only saw 1 restaurant on the beach. No good for youngsters who want nightlife, there isnt any or water sports. Breakfast was very good plenty to choose from fresh bread, crossiants, pastries, bacon, sausages, egg, grilled tomatoes, cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt etc. If you want to do all inclusive you can but the evening meals dont start until 8pm if you have children. The slides are good for the kids. At weekends it gets very busy as The Spanish use this hotel for a couple of days stay and they get annoyed if they dont get sunbeds. We didnt have a problem with getting sunbeds the pool is 10am until 8pm. The slides open about 11am. There is a pool bar but it only opened at the weekend when we was there. Staff are friendly and we was able to get 6 seater taxis every day. We enjoyed our stay it was just too far out from The restaurants. There is a cafe under the bridge which is lovely but if there daughter isnt there they struggle with English.

Where to start? This hotel is dated but don’t let that put you off. It’s well presented but could do with updating. Having said that the suite we got was a great size. The living room was very big, the bedroom equally as big and then the dressing room with the batch room, jacuzzi bath, shower and toilet in another area. All in all a big enough space for any couple. We went there to celebrate 33 years being married and we were not disappointed - mostly.

Check in was painless even though we had used Booking.com’s check in we had to repeat the process.

When we went the gym and spa were closed but will be open shortly. The swimming pool is enormous and great for doing lengths. There are a couple of slides and a jacuzzi pool. The sun beds are free with parasols and there was plenty of them.

I’m into my food and we had booked breakfast and dinner for two nights. The dinner the first night took our breath away and not in a good way. It’s a dinner menu and individually each course is priced. If you were to pay separately for this it would be very expensive. Main courses ran from €13 up to €19. The value for money would have been appalling. However, the second night was a different story - must have been a different chef - and was much better.

The breakfast here was brilliant. Lots and lots of variety. Cheeses, hot plates, breads, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, tea, coffee whatever you needed it was there and all of it very good. Set you up for the day!! Before we stayed we went and tried out the cafeteria. The food was very good and not overly priced for an hotel.

Currently staying here with my 2 sons all inclusive, there are a couple of members of staff that are friendly and willing to help but the rest don't even attempt to speak English or understand what you say. Even though we are all inclusive some snacks and drinks are supplemented, also bar food which is alot better than the selection you get at the buffet dinner but you have to pay for that. Dinner is pretty late and starts at 8pm, there are 4 meat/fish option's heated by little gas cans so not very hot, there is a pasta option, either wedges or chips, veg, pizza, rice, bread and salad. Not like the usual all inclusive where the food is actually hot and plenty of it or with chefs that cook food Infront of you. There is no sign of entertainment or a kids club like it is stated on the website either. Spanish locals and families staying in the apartments dominate the pool and are quick to snatch up sunbeds and umbrellas in the morning and then just leave them unattended. The lifeguard isn't interested and sits on his phone and doesn't seem bothered by injuries, children taking advantage of the slides, breaking the pool rules and general safety. The state of the pool is shocking lots of tiles are missing and it's sharp in areas, cleaners brush the dirt and hair from the poolside into the pool so it is very dirty and cloudy. Whilst here a maintenance man repaired some of the broken grills around the pool but alot are still missing or broken..not sure why they can't just go around and replace the lot.
The room isn't too bad although the tatty curtain's and net blinds need to be replaced as are full of stains and tips, the place could do with a lick of paint and general upgrade.
Not somewhere I would stay again, as I feel unwelcomed, no working WiFi, pretty rubbish food and poor amenities.

This is your sign not to book this place!! Complete waste of money. 40 minute walk into the town, wasted so much money on taxis. I would not even feed the food served here to my dog, went for breakfast one morning and found a pile of sh*t at the bottom of my plate i nearly got sick, and hard scrambled eggs that looked like they had been left out for a week, not to mention the bacon or whatever it was drowning in grease. This place is so dirty and the staff are absolutely no help. We stayed here for a week and some days the cleaners didn’t even bother cleaning our room and other days they just left us without toilet paper. Went in one day to grab my sunglasses while they were cleaning and received the dirtiest look for absolutely no reason lmao!! The pool on the other hand was probably the best thing about the place other than the fact that everyday it looked like a child had gotten sick in it, it was so dirty. I didn’t even attempt to eat dinner here after my horrible experience at breakfast that one morning. Anyways no hard feelings to the owners of this place but it should be shut down because of how vile it is.

This review is to counter all the negative reviews below! The pool was fantastic, no algea like someone wrote, the water slides were working fine and a lot of fun for kids and adults, at least 3 lifeguards on duty at all times, get down for 10am and you will get a sun lounger. We were breakfast only and it was spot on, so much variety, the vegans who were moaning in an earlier review need to get a grip! There was fruit, bread, vegan milk, cereals and yoghurt, it's not the hotels fault you're a vegan! I'm a veggie and loved breakfast every day! The rooms have everything you need for a self catering stay, the air con is ace. Anyone who moans about the location needs to use Google maps, it's not difficult to see it's a fair trip to Los Alcázares but we hired a car for 28 euros a day, used it day and night, cheaper than taxis and the restaurants there are amazing, Zarcos cocktail bar is a must! We loved our stay, the staff were all lovely and friendly

A disaster no matter where you look at it. What was going to be a relaxing weekend turned into "I can't wait to go home." Except for the receptionist, the rest was disastrous. In the apartment the toilet with remains in the bowl, they tell us to clean it ourselves or that no one will be there until tomorrow. They change our apartment, there are no quilts, only sheets. He tells me to use the blankets from the closet, which smell like a mixture of rancid cheese and dust....I tell him that we are not going to use that and the answer is that since they have been closed for low season.....well yes You reopen, you reopen in conditions that for 200e for a weekend just accommodation they are not giving me anything. He tells me that in addition to the sheets to cover ourselves, we can turn on the hot air. Sorry? Which by the way, didn't work. There was no hairdryer, we called to ask for one and they put us on a waiting list, at 8 in the afternoon they called us to tell us to come pick it up at reception. The apartment notices that it has been closed, an ideal time to do maintenance such as cleaning, painting walls that were dirty. We were wearing socks inside the apartment as soon as we arrived and the socks came out black. Services such as buffet, cafeteria, swimming pool were closed. It would be good to inform when booking, more than anything because the hotel is in the middle of nowhere. Less stars, more cleaning! I have been in hostels with higher quality and services. Remove stars, they don't have them

The hotel is very well presented but our guests were freezing cold. No food available on late arrival, just a vending machine. For a 4 star hotel they should be providing some service for hungry travellers arriving late, especially during winter months when surrounding restaurants are not open either. No excuse for cold rooms! We moved our guests to another hotel for a further 2 night stay.

Dear guest, First of all, please accept our sincerest apologies for all the inconvenience. Our ultimate aim is to ensure that our guests leave the hotel happy and satisfied at all times. Consequently we are very disappointed to see that our service was below your expectations. Concerning your comment about the restaurant time-tables, it is a pleasure for me to inform you, that they are as follows: for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Normally, we close our establishment later than indicated, so the time- table only means the last entrance for our guests. Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience that these have caused you. In relation to the room temperature, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience and please rest assured that we will share your review with our head of maintenance department for information and further revision. In taking great care of our charming hotel, our main priority is to be able to offer a very well-maintained and comfortable atmosphere. Booked to stay for 5 days with my daughter. We paid €244 between us for the stay. Exceptional good value for what we got. A very large 2 bedroom apartment, that had everything that you would need (iron, hairdryer, washing machine/dryer, fully stocked kitchen etc). Rooms are serviced daily. There is a large pool and separate children's pool and slide area.

The only downside for us was the distance from the town/village. You will either need to hire a car for your stay or rely on a taxi service. Taxis were €12 approx each way at weekend and €9 each way during the week.
We went to the local Lidl the first evening we arrived and stocked up on everything we needed for the trip.

Overall we've loved our stay, it was perfectly peaceful which was what we wanted. If you want a "mad" holiday, this is not the place for you. But perfect for a relaxing couples break away. I would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately another negative review from us which is such a shame because this hotel has so much potential.
The hotel itself was lovely and the pool area along with the location was perfect however the negatives here far outweighed the positives.

We found the staff to be rude at times, speaking very little English and not at all welcoming or helpful.
We were giving no local information on arrival and when asking reception staff for information they could not understand what we were asking for. We were told there was no bus service and could only travel around by taxi despite there being a bus stop right outside the hotel.

We approached reception again a few days later to ask a different member of staff and thankfully a helpful male receptionist told us about an app to download with the bus schedules.
The only other member of staff that was remotely helpful for our entire stay was a young man called Gabriel who worked in the dining hall. He was able to communicate with us and tried very hard to understand what we were trying to achieve. Even just trying to order drinks with our evening meal was very difficult due to the language barrier but he was able to help us.

The food was probably the worst I have experienced at any hotel I have stayed in. The verity was very poor and the quality was even worse. The meat was either over cooked or raw. None of the food was labelled so it was all guess work which is very irritating when you have food allergies.

The apartment was clean and spacious with all the facilities needed, the only downside was the balcony was very small and only had 2 chairs for our family of 5.

There was only live entertainment on a Friday and Saturday night between 10pm and 11pm and this was a magic show all in Spanish and live music which was a mix of Spanish and English songs.
We did not find the spa or the gym here during our stay and overhead a member of the bar staff telling someone he doesn’t know how to get to the gym despite working there.

There was smoking permitted around the poolside which we found surprising given the amount of children around.

So all in all it was not a 4 star stay and we would not return here for a family friendly holiday.
