Positive is the location to the 2 streets with restaurants and bars as well as to the beach.
The apartment itself is very basic with cheap materials, with a small (short) bed and no air conditioning in the bedroom making it very hot.
Reception rarely present so nuisance from a barking dog (which the neighbors had apparently left alone) is not addressed.
Wifi is of moderate quality and network is not secure (compromised).
In short, there are better hotels and apartments nearby but booking in time.

First of all, the attention on arrival, the girl was lovely. The location of the apartments is perfect, next to the center, restaurant area and very close to the Mar Menor. The apartments are simple and functional, with everything you could need. Highly recommended.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment here for 4 nights in September 2019. Great location two streets up from the seafront where there is a long esplanade along the Mar Menor with various beaches, bars and restaurants. The apartment was well equipped and a good size with separate bedroom, living/dining room with balcony, bathroom and kitchen. OK the bathroom is a bit cosy but it works.
We hired their bikes for a day at a cost of 10 euros each per day and rode along the seafront which is a great way to see the resort. Strictly speaking there is no cycling on the esplanade but everyone does it – and on one occasion the police were moving the cyclists off, but not in an aggressive way.
They also have a secure and free parking plot about 5 minutes walk away which means you don’t have to try to find a space on the nearby streets. The key for the parking was in our apartment so it is possible to drive to the building, paying attention to the one way system (!), check in, drop the bags and then park the car up.
The ladies who run the building are lovely and contactable by phone when not there – some speak English, others only Spanish.
Nearby is a well stocked Carrefour Express and a cafeteria called Panarea – they do a very reasonable breakfast and the menu of the day is worth a go at 6.95 euros each including a drink.
If you have transport and fancy a great lunch, a trip to MardeSal Restaurant at Playa de la Llana, San Pedro del Pinatar is a must and you get to see the flamingos on the salt lake nature reserve on the way.

We booked two apartments in this block and both were beautifully clean and well equipped. They are a 15 euro taxi ride from Murcia airport and if you're after a beach holiday then you don't need a car.
They are apartments for people who just want somewhere to sleep and maybe cook and eat a basic meal. There is no swimming pool, no daily maid and no manned reception.Be sure to take a phone with you because when you get there you''ll probably need to ring to get someone to come along and book you in and give you your keys.
Having said that, you are about 30 seconds from a lovely, well-cared for beach, with a number of reasonably-priced beach cafes to provide breakfast and lunch. The sea (Mar Menor) is shallow and gently shelving and very safe for swimming.
This is the quieter, undeveloped part of Los Alcazares but there are plenty of good restaurants and shops and the place is popular with the Spanish and not awash with British food.
We had a great time and will probably go back again soon.

The apartment we stayed in number 21 which was on the second floor was very clean and tidy with a good shower. There was no hairdryer which I thought there would be. There was a lot of noise in the corridors when people entered or left the apartment block and I was awaken on a few occasions when people came in late at night or early morning. They had no consideration for other people. Maybe a sign should be displayed to be quiet on entering the apartment block. We were thinking of coming back there as we love this area and it is in great location for the beach and town but the noise has put us off. We only used it has a base but the lack of sleep spoilt it for us.

Arrived at the Margoysa after 9pm on the Sunday night and after getting dropped off by our taxi around the corner from the entrance we were pointed in the right direction by the friendly Spanish neighbours who lived opposite. As the front door was locked & reception closed we accessed the key in the key lock positioned by the front entrance. We had been provided with the code and our apartment number prior to our departure from the UK.
Apartment:
We were in apartment 14, a one bedroomed apartment on the first floor looking out over the side street where we were dropped off. Both the living room and bedroom were a very good size, however the kitchen and bathroom were the smallest we've ever come across. Saying that for a week’s stay for just the two of us they did the trick as long as we didn't want to be in either of them at the same time. The shower cubicle was extremely small - my wife a UK size 10 & myself 5' 10'' & 11 stone max just managed with the size but anybody bigger would struggle. The apartment was extremely clean - bedroom & living room nice and bright with basic furniture. Kitchen and bathroom dated but functional. Air con is in the living room and we hoped it would cool the bedroom too however it wasn't quite powerful enough to manage that effectively. The area was having a heatwave while we were there so maybe this was partly to blame. The small balcony off the living room overlooked the side street and was just big enough to sit and have an early morning cup of tea or an evening drink. The chairs were not the most comfortable of balcony furniture. Because the aircon unit was positioned here you were blasted with hot air, so the aircon needed to be switched off if you were going to try and sit out. Also the bucket that catches the condensate needs to be emptied regularly. We hadn't realised that there would be no cleaners coming into the apartment while we were there so we had to manage with the same towels and sheets for the week. No big hardship but I think the towels could stand up on their own by the time we left!! We emptied the bin ourselves by using the large bins just outside the Marina club on the beach.
Staff:
When staff/reception were around they were very helpful - we had a problem with the aircon unit being very noisy during the night and that was sorted within a couple of days (after a couple of phone call reminders!). Bikes were hired from reception for a day, unfortunately mine had a problem with loose handlebars 1/2 hour into our ride. After a couple of phone calls a new bike was brought to me by the guy off reception - brilliant service.
Location:
Apartments are in the old part of LA no more than 50 metres from the beach - we were even provided with two free sunloungers by the cleaner on our first day. Position wise the apartments couldn't be better - close to a couple of small supermarkets Carrefour & Spar and a variety of bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. Can recommend Momentoes, San Antonio & Terra Mare (all on the beachfront). If you want something more “holiday” orientated then head up to the area behind Hotel 525. Lots more bars & restaurants in this area but a lot more commercialised which you should expect with this area being in the middle of a number of hotels and holiday lets. Can recommend Rosalind’s Roof Garden and Herbs & Spices. We used the little land train that sets off from the square close by the apartment and does a circuit of LA a few times of an evening. We did this once and walked the other time. Would definitely recommend hiring bikes (10 euros/day). We cycled right along the front reaching parts we would have struggled to get to on foot, eventually reaching marshland that had wooden boardwalks running through. Once we cycled through this we reached a neglected beach backing onto a campsite with caravans and that was as far as we could go. Cycled back but diverted now and again to look at the different areas of new build at this end of LA.
Would we return to the Margoysa – definitely yes but only for a short break. Missed not having more outside space to chill first thing in the morning & before heading out of an evening

Stones throw from beach, cafes and restaurants.Clean and unfussy apartment.Juan very friendly at reception.Wi-fi worked perfectly.Appeared to be new Upvc windows and balcony rails. We had room 24 which was away from the staircase so no problem with noise.Balcony small with view of street and restaurant.Sun from mid pm to late.
Would have liked 2 towels at least per person for a week as well as an electric kettle.Overall very satisfied.
Note : Before travelling I would suggest you confirm if there will be someone on reception on arrival or if you should collect your key from the key safe and the room number.

Large very clean apartment. Position excellent just a few yards from the beach in the quieter prettier part of Los Alcazares. Apartment had every thing you would need and some you would not have thought of. No maid service so you can wash your towels up at the rooftop laundry if you wish. If you look at a map you may think you are a way from restaurants etc but you are only around the corner from everything you would want. We had a brilliant time here and would return without question. Highly recommended .

These apartments are situated in the less developed part of town and are great if you want to relax on the beach, but still be within easy walking of some great restaurants.
The apartments are clean and well equipped, although if I was being picky I would say that I was surprised that there was no kettle. But boiling water in a saucepan isn't the end of the world.
There was a microwave, toaster, three ring gas cooker and plenty of cutlery, utensils and crockery.
As someone else has mentioned, the tiling on the floor and walls of the communal staircase makes for quite a noisy environment if you get some late night loud-voiced people coming in. But the bed was comfortable and I always got a good nights sleep.
The sitting room was spacious and the air conditioning works (don't forget to empty the condensate bucket every day or two), but don't expect much in the way of english language prorammes on the TV. There is free wifi throughout the block.
The bathroom is smallish but fine, and the shower worked very well.
All in all, extremely good value and very friendly staff.
