The Studio was a lovely place to stay so close to Abel Tasman and other beautiful places. Very peaceful and comfortable and well appointed. Private parking and good laundry facilities a major bonus. Thanks Maree and Ken - keep it up!

We stayed in the cottage and had a very nice time. The cottage has all you need including private parking. It is situated very secluded and with a lovely garden. Feels abit as coming home after a long journey. It provides an excellent starting point to explore Abel Tasman parc. For diner we can recommend the local hotel around the... More

Thanks for a relaxing stay at your retreat, we booked the Estuary Cottage as it was the only one with a full kitchen, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Great location, helpful hosts and and great amenities. The only recommendation I have would be for the little fridge to be replaced with a larger fridge, as the bar-size fridge... More

The Riwaka retreat was a fantastic spot. We received a warm welcome from our hosts, and a lot of local tips. Unfortunately we were in one of the cabins with a shared wall, and our neighbours had their TV on quite loudly most of the evenings and in the mornings. I don't think the rooms are actually that noisy, we... More

Wow Kevin I am so sorry to hear about the noise issue you experienced. Our units are known for their peace and quiet. You had an elderly couple(80s) in the unit next door and I would have expected things to be 'extra quiet'. Your unit doesn't share a wall with Estuary Cottage but has a 11/2metre gap between them(storeroom). Their... More

Riwaka retreat was a real find. Maree and Ken were great hosts and very easy company. Great spot to be close to many local attractions i.e. the Abel Tasman, Mapua and to Golden Bay. Riwaka Retreat had very nice comfortable rooms set in a gorgeous country setting. The owners were super helpful in getting us acquianted with the area and setting up trips into Abel Tasman National Park. They made our lives easy and enjoyable. It was a beautiful place to stay and we will be back!

What a warm welcome in more ways than one. We left an extremely cold, damp unit prior to arriving at Riwaka Retreat and were very grateful of the Hospitality and warmth. Our Studio unit was well appointed and spotless plus the grapes were to die for. The whole of Motueka/Riwaka/Kaiteriteri and beyond is a delight to visit, fresh fruit of... More
