Stayed here one night on our Haute Route hike and had a wonderful time. The hotel is easily located in central Zinal and a short walk to the grocery store and the start of the next day's hike. Clean, bright, spacious room with nice wood furniture and an en suite shower stall and sink. Contrary to another reviewer, I am... More

We stayed at the Trift around New Year and had a lovely time there. The rooms are simple, the beds a bit too short for taller people, with an average quality mattress. The blinds kept the room well in the dark, If you need to keep sunlight out when sleeping. The owners were charming and helpful at all times and... More

The room is no nonsens...that's also the reason why one does not have to pay a lot and it is how I like it. After all, you should not be in the mountains to get a fancy room...Note however that the bed is fine, the shower is great and it is all quiet. The breakfast was just great and the... More

We sayed here on our Haute Route and the staff were great, really friendly and the bar man was a real joker. The room was basic, had a sink and wardbrobe but the shower and toilets were unisex shared facilities. No token needed for the shower. The bar in the hotel is really nice and the food was great. The... More

I stayed here in a half board basis...hotel is very nice, rooms are clean and very spacious, mine had a shared bathroom which I knew already but they have rooms with bathroom as well. Despite this facilities are excellent and the food is excellent. The restaurant serves french cuisine and for the menu included in my half board basis it... More

Great location in centre of Zinal, which was very quiet in late June, before the main season starts. No toilet in room but a shared one along the corridor, clean and close by. Full of locals having breakfast each morning, a good sign if it attracts those working nearby. The owner went out of his way to supply gluten free... More

Only been to the bar so sorry for all of you who were looking for a hotel or restaurant review. we call it out local place to be now. Just have a seat at the bar and talk to Patrice and Caroline. Ok he's French but don't hold this against him, he's one of the good ones :-). Ambiance is... More

We stayed 2 night in July 2014. Two adults and a child. Enjoyed ourselves. Would stay here again. Ambiance is relaxed and friendly. Breakfasts are copious and nutritious; the home-made muesli is wonderful. Homemade jams, a very special treat. Warm hospitality.

The owners of the hotel stretch themselves to please their guests to an amazing extend!! Our 16 months old had lots of fun there, there is even a playroom with enough toys to keep him busy. We had a nice stay also, it was very relaxing and the food was amazing: what a nice surprise in a small resort!!!

Stayed here with a groupon voucher, and wished we'd known that our package included a room without bathroom. It changes your mood somewhat if that kind of thing hits you by surprise. But we've stayed in way rougher places before, so we took it in stride. Once we accepted that little detail (and it wasn't too bad either) though, we... More
