The Observatory Cottages are a beautiful place to stay. We stayed for a two nights and the secluded cottages area perfect for a romantic getaway. The amenities (including champagne, breakfast supplies etc) are all included in the cost you pay which was a lovely surprise. We were able to walk just 5 minutes from the cottages to SkyHigh Mount Dandenong... More

This was our second family Christmas together in the two level, four bedroom Candlewick Cottage. On both visits the presentation and cleanliness of the accommodation has been exceptional. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts, Leeanne and Daniel, who had left individually wrapped presents under the Christmas tree for us.

I rarely give 5 stars, especially here in oz. This was truly excellent. If you want a proper romantic night or weekend away, this is perfect. Well set up, great facilities, and caring hosts. So much better than a hotel. Proper english-style gardens, lovely scenery and surroundings, cottage nicely decorated. I was already impressed before there was a minor issue,... More

Beautiful, beautiful place! We stayed a couple of nights in the Owl's Croft cottage and it was simply divine. The fire was roaring when we arrived which was a lovely touch. The bed was comfortable and we truly enjoyed switching off. Just a short walk to Sky High. Ideal location that feels so much further from the city than it... More

Our first visit to Observatory cottages for our 5th Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in Owl's croft cottage. We were wowed from the moment we stepped foot into the cottage. Fire place, spa bath, terribly comfortable bed, brekki included and visits from the local birds on our patio. It was a truely peaceful, relaxing and romantic getaway. I will definitely be... More

Overall it was just great, caretakers meet you on arrival, with a pre-heated cottage (middle of winter). Great facilities, good breakfast and supplies topped up, clean, cozy.....great location as we had a function at Sky High. No complaints from a group of 8 adults.

We stayed for the weekend of my husbands birthday and it was a huge success as it was a surprise. Gorgeous accomodation very cosy with the wood burning stove. Fantastic location with very hospitable owners who very kindly gave us a lift to and back from dinner. Would recommend it everyone.

We were return guests and enjoyed our second stay just as much if not more than the first. We stayed in Owl's Croft which is so beautiful, cozy and luxurious. We left feeling so relaxed and with plans to return again one day. The cottage is very private, with wonderful views and generously stocked with everything you could possibly want.... More
