Review Praia Boutique Hotel Castro Marim
The hotel is very well located, close to a very nice beach . Swimming pool and restaurant are a real plus of this hôtel. Breakfast is very good and tasty.The service is excellent and very friendly. Our 9 years old daughter couls also enjoy the kid club activities. The overall experience was great , I strongly recommend this hôtel.

Perfect stay. Very nice hotel and excellent service. Kidsfriendly! Reasonably priced. Good kitchen. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice pool. Spacious rooms. We Would definately come back for another visit to the Algarve.

A hidden gem
We have stayed here several times in the last few years and could not recommend it highly enough. The rooms and general decor throughout are superb, the food in the restaurant is lovely, the setting is perfect in that it is just away from the madding crowd but still very close to a beautiful beach and several other restaurants and bars. Best of all though are the staff, superb customer service!

Staying here for a week from the 31st of May. Can anyone recommend any nice restaurants and bars for cocktails in the local area please? Thanks.
There are 2-3 restaurants by the beach, but differs in quality and price. I liked the in-house restaurant, we had both dinner and drinks there on several occasions.

We are staying in September.. should we get a car?? We have a 4 year old who will just want to play in the beach and pool so other than an odd trip to super market and perhaps dinner we don’t intend doing much beyond the hotel...
Sorry a delay, Yes definitely, cheaper to rent a car than arrange transfers. There are a few towns along the coast which are worth a trip also. Hotel is great for kids BW Andrei

AIR QUALITY/SMOG in Castro marim?? Could someone please advise? We have a booking at Praia Verde Boutique Hotel for July. I’ve been checking air quality (via breezometer app) here for the past 2 weeks and I am just horrified by the disasterous air quality indcators, particularly extremely high rates of PM10 particles. Our daughter has asthma and we hoped that actually going to Algarve will allow for some clean air. Judging by the map, Huelva in Spain may be the cause (chemical plants and refineries)...Could someone tell from experience - is it something temporary or is air quality an issue in Castro Marim? Thanks in advance! Anna
Hi Anna, I can't help you on the technical aspects of the air quality in the Praia Verde area. However, we stayed at Praia Verde in June 2017 for six nights with our son (who was nearly three at the time) who is asthmatic. He had no trouble with breathing, wheezing or coughing when we were there. Andy
