I had the opportunity to go to Real de Catorce with my gf and we decided to stay with Lucho and his wife, the place is awesome, has a great view and the food is delicious, my gf is vegetarian so it was a very good option. Everything went as expected I also read all the reviews before choosing the...

The owner is a great italian chef! The food was made with fresh ingredients and very tasty. We had pizza, pasta, and for breakfast real honey. The location is also good, not so easy to get, but close to everything. We definitely would return!

Luciano and his wife have made a wonderful retreat with Refugio Romano. Delicious food, beautiful views, large, clean romos and friendly service! Real de Catorce is a delightful destination, not so easy to get to but worth it. I will definitely return to Refugio Romano. (Pizza and pasta are wonderful!)

Very cozy and friendly place! I highly recommend the entire restaurant menu. Lucio and Mayra produce everything(food) from his own Garden. Very tasty and elaborated Italian food! The home made jelly is a must. We had a lovely weekend!

You will feel transported as you drive through Real De Catorce and arrive at the Refugio Romano. Nestled on the hillside of this old mining town, this 3 room hotel boasts of Italian warmth, and breathtaking views. Its very quiet and secure, and the owners welcomed our kids and our dogs, making us feel right at home. If you stay,...

This is a tiny, 3-room hotel, so I would consider it a bed and breakfast. We had the orange room which was a great size for a family of four. The only "negative" aspect of the hotel is its location. You have to walk a lot if you want to get anywhere. However, its location was a plus for us...

I had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay, in large part thanks to the genuine warmth and kindness of the hosts and very tasty food. The location provides for wonderful views, the room was comfortable and clean and the town centre is a 5 minute walk away. Refugio Romano has few rooms, so if you are looking for a quiet...

Everything started when I arrived at Refugio Romano and met Lucho and Irma, owners of the place who received us as if we were old friends. The place well located with all the comfort you can imagine at this magical and far place made our trip unfurgettable (great for couples!). Please do not hesitate about asking all meals to Lucho,...

This is a charming place to stay in the truly wonderful 'Puebla Magica' of Real de Catorce. Mayra was a gracious host (Lucio was away), and our room was fantastic! Thick rock walls to hold the heat through the night, a very comfortable bed. Great views over the village day or especially night. Even without the altitude (close to 10,000...

An small, private and friendly place for a couple or families, not for the crew. Far enough from the main street of the town for quietness, but close enough to walk there and have some drinks at the bars. Assisted by the owners, all the food is organic, growth by them just in front of you. Clean rooms and fair...

“Grey room is the best choice for a couple, you can enjoy a king bed, private hammock, private garden, and private fireplace. In the morning have an organic breakfast at the upper balcony with the view of the Oregano hill and the town, during the night private organic dinner at the garden, then to the fireplace... then to rest.”
