Good if you're on a budget but there isn't a lot do nearby. Although things are only a short drive away its not the same as being able to walk out on to the beach. The food is ok and reasonably priced but nothing special. The cheapest dorms are really uncomfortable and get really hot so worth paying a bit...

Well, to cut the story short, my stay at the backpackers was supposed to be for a couple of days, ended up staying fifteen : ) Justin (owner/manager) & the rest of the super friendly staff( James, Ali & last but not least, the awesome chefs) would easily go the extra mile to make you feel at home ! Such...

The hostel has almost everything you need, the swimming pool, restaurant, shadow, some books to read. It is easy to get to know new people and even organise a trip together. What I found uncnvenient is that there's no air condition what makes it hard to sleep in the night.

It is a great place to stay, very cozy, clean, with a swimming poo and a nice garden. The owner is a cool guy, the stuff is very friendly. The dorms are spacious, the food is very good. We felt safe and relaxed in a camp, met many cool ppl. Thank you the great time!

The best thing about Diani Backpackers has to be the staff - so friendly and fun. I stayed for a week in a dorm room in low season. The room was large and airy, with comfortable bunk beds and great value for money. The food is delicious and great value, you have to try the chef's salad - mango and...

A great little place for a weekend away - great pool and bar, lovely people and nice rooms. The food is surprisingly delicious and the drinks are cheap. Not far from the beach, but you have the pool to lounge by all day! My only complaint... the pool is too hot!! I would definitely recommend Backpackers!

I really enjoyed my stay, which was in the low season. People who working there are very friendly. I also like the food a lot. Everything is fresh and if you have special wishes they do it for you. It is really a paradise!

This is a great hostel with an amazing and friendly vibe. Met lots of interesting folks to hang out with, which was great as a solo traveler. Lots of comfy lounges for relaxing by the pool or it's just a short walk to the beach. Food and bar were excellent! I would definitely stay here again when in Diani Beach!

My wife and I stayed in a private room for four nights in February. The room was clean, the bathroom got pretty stuffy but that was the only criticism. We were warmly welcomed by the owner Justin and he continued to be an amazing host for the remainder of our visit, along with the other staff. The highlight of the...

I've been traveling for the last two years in Asia and India and this is the worse backpackers place I have been and I did a lot! Just dont go there!!! This place sucks! I didn't see someone really managing this place on the site! There is more then 30 bed in dorms total, split in 3 or 4 different...

Hi Karine, Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are sorry you didn't like our place. I would like to try to respond to your complaints, however I find your review quite confusing. First of all, I am the manager, and I am there every day. Maybe you just didn't notice me. I ALWAYS make myself...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
More stylish and security conscious than the average backpackers, Diani Backpackers has dorms and privates in a lovely house. Come to party at the 24-hour bar and pool, chill out in the lush garden, or catch up on sleep in the baobab dorm, where beds wrap around the trunk of a tree. There's a volleyball court, great daily menu and lockers. Turn right after KFI supermarket. ... more   less
