We stayed in one of the apartments for two nights. The apartment was spacious and very well fitted out with a large TV in the lounge and also one in the bedroom; everything was good quality. We ate in the restaurant, had a takaway (free delivery to our room) and also did the full English breakfast. All of it was...

Visited Woodford Bridge with my wife for a 1 night stay celebrating our anniversary. Pleasantly surprised by the country like presentation and friendliness of the staff. Stayed in a 1 bed apartment which was very clean, tidy and modern. Very comfy bed! A few negative points to note: > noisy extraction fan in bathroom (A36) which doesn't go off for...

I stayed out of season so the price charged was extremely reasonable. Reviews on here were confusing as there is an hotel as well as the self catering cottages so you need to check what the reviews are for. The room was really large with a separate seating area. Two televisions, DVD player, tea/coffee, Ipod dock, king size bed, hairdryer,...

Beautifully quaint hotel set in an old thatched lodge surrounded by glorious countryside and within a short distance from some of the best places in north Devon. This was booked as a last minute weekend away and we were not disappointed. We stayed in the main inn with a large club suite, with both shower and separate bath (although the...

My Wife surprised me for a weekend away, and surprised I was, we had a 1 bedroom lodge and was absolutely stunned when we walked through the door. The size was incredible, enough for us to live in full time. We used the leisure facilities which were very reasonably price, the Breakfast was outstanding and they even offer a evening...

Nice quiet place to stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Car needed restaurant food excellent and accommodation was a home away from home. A good place to explore from with the coast just over half an hour away. Little quiet of season

Myself and my wife booked in for 2 nights over the weekend. We are not members of diamond. All the staff are very friendly. We stayed in a lodge which was basically a modern one bed house. The accommodation is very nice and we found the bed very comfy. You can bring food etc as there is a good kitchen....

We have stayed several days two weeks running and experienced a room for a couple and a room for two couples - both have been roomy and well laid out. As I am on crutches - no stairs, which I requested at booking, made my stay that much more enjoyable. Staff friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant well prepared...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As an old coaching inn from the 15th century, Woodford Bridge Country Club provided food and shelter for weary travelers, yet, while a warm welcome is still guaranteed, the standards and exclusivity of the Country Club have changed somewhat over the centuries. The thatched inn, the focal point of Woodford Bridge, still provides sustenance for guests in search of a superb meal in the friendly surroundings of the bistro. The suites and lodges, which surround the inn, are a home away from home that help to ensure you have a remarkable vacation. ... more   less
