We decided to hold our 20th Wedding Anniversary party at the County - as my husband has a critical illness did not want to wait until 25th - and wanted it to be a celebration to remember. It was certainly that but sadly for the wrong reasons. What a disaster....,.Booked the venue in May and paid deposit. Went through all...

This hotel could have a lot of potential. The decor is in serious need of updating. We had a family room for two nights and thankfully we were not doing more here than just sleeping. The room was small, a tiny tv was available. There was a small double bed and a single in the room but my daughter discovered...

We stayed here, thankfully for only one night. The room was small and overlooked a roof at the back of the hotel! The toilet would not flush and the shower was also broken. The owner (who was on site because the hotel was short staffed!) claimed this was the first he know of these problems but a decent cleaner should...

Stayed overnight 24th Sept. As you arrive the reception area welcoming and modern. Restaurant was closing at 6:30pm, very strange for a Saturday evening. Room very tired, carpet stained, grout black in bathroom & under sink cupboard showed water stains from leak. Lamp shade above single bed hanging off light. Small stool cushion falling off, door handle on single wardrobe...

Does what it says on the tin this place! Not fancy, average cleanliness but for proximity into Edinburgh it was good value for money as there is a bus into the centre of Edinburgh. On arrival we discovered that the triple room we had booked had a double bed and single in it... not ideal as I was travelling with...

Had lunch here today with my daughter for my birthday. Lunch menu was simple but very good. Food was amazing and very well presented. The waitress/receptionist was very pleasant and professional even under stressful situations as there was a rude customer in and she dealt with her like a professional. Price was well worth it. Restaurant wad clean and we'll...

Popped into the County Coffee shop late Saturday afternoon for a glass of wine and a quick bite to eat. Midfest was going full pelt only a five minute walk away. Decided to order a bottle of wine which was advertised at ten pounds. Tried to order food but informed that the chef was having the day off. Unbelievable. Wine...

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding at Dalhousie Castle and at £75 a night we expected it to be fairly reasonable. Clearly there is a refurb project underway, however there are some very basics and attention to detail that needs immediate reviewing for the rooms that have not yet been refurbished. On arrival we were greeted by a...

Stayed here for one night for the tattoo with national holidays. Always go with them never knowing what to expect in the hotel. Very friendly staff. Room wasn't that great but bedding and towels were lovely and white and clean. Very strange bathroom. White toilet and green sink and shower.could only get one channel on the TV. A bit more...
