Stopped here recently for a weekend with friends and was somewhat disappointed. Firstly on the upside the hotel is well situated in Malton with pleasant grounds and lots of parking. We had upgraded our rooms and these were without doubt the best part of the stay, both were large with comfortable king sized beds, excellent bathrooms with separate baths &...

We arrived on 12th May 2017 having booked into the Brassiere for a 3 course meal with prosecco which had been a gift to my husband for his birthday. Initially we were pleased with the look of the hotel and the friendly staff, who upon realising my husband had difficulty climbing stairs moved us from the second floor to the...

My daughter's treat, it was Devine. All laid out beautiful & made fresh. I loved the warm scotch egg & sausage rolls. We had a glass of prosecco to begin & we were made to feel very welcome, the whole experience was very relaxing. A lot of choice and excellent value. Quality ingredients used & will have to say the best...

We stayed here on a special dinner, bed and breakfast offer and were very impressed. Our room was spacious, immaculate and well equipped with a beautiful, luxurious bathroom. We had the tasting menu for dinner which was inventive and delicious and the breakfast was outstanding in both range and quality. It was obvious that everything was well thought through down...

Just returned from our 1 night stay at the Talbot, we had a double room that overlooked their gardens and the river beyond. Pleasant room with very nice bathroom, nice and quiet too. The breakfast was wonderful, nicely presented and fresh ingredients, set in a beautiful dining room. We didn't eat here during the evening but I could see that...

We booked the hotel for my daughters 40th birthday party, held in the marquee in the grounds. My husband and I booked one of the Norton Rooms, we also had our dog with us. The room was amazing, I'd taken an extra throw to put over the bed to protect it in case our dog jumped on the bed when...

We stayed overnight as part of a Groupon deal and were allocated a spacious and comfortable room on the top floor. Please be aware there is no lift! The bed was clean and comfortable and the ensuite well appointed but the decor was tired, the furniture was worn and the carpet looked shabby. The stairs carpets were also stained in...

We booked this hotel though a groupon deal which included a 5 course taster meal on one night. When we looked at the menu we found there was little on the menu we liked so decided to eat else where. The room was spacious with high ceilings and tall sash windows But you could hear the traffic from the busy...

A pleasant, westerly facing hotel, modernised but still traditional. We stayed for 3 nights on a Groupon deal and were allocated a very comfortable room. Nothing was too much trouble for the very friendly, efficient staff. A 5-course taster dinner was part of the deal (value £39). Glad we didn't have to purchase it as that was way too expensive,...
