This was our second visit to the talbot , if your looking for lively then this isn't the place for you ..but if your looking for a calm peaceful stay with warm comforting rooms a wonderful garden to sit in and great food then this is the place. James Martin used to oversee the restaurant and has now moved on...

Frequent diners last year ,enjoyed another visit with friends before the new Brasserie opens. If the new venture compares to the Supper Club, main meal plus a bottle of wine for £30.00 ,then booking is essential. Our "foody" friends from Scotland both enjoyed their fish and chips plus, a very reasonable bottle of wine. Second bottle to be savoured at...

Our every need was met. The meal..personalised to our own requirements ....was spot on. Our expectations were surpassed and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience including extended use of the drawing room. Attention to detail was a credit to the hotel team...front and back of house staff included. We could not have asked for anything better. No one had anything...

The town of Malton is nice for a walk about and there are other restaurants, pubs and coffee shops to visit if you're stay is longer. The property has been...

The ambience of the hotel is great. The car park is rather a long way if raining. The staff helpful although it's the first bar in a hotel that didn't have Merlot wine The marbec was ok but not merlot. Because we were some 30 strong we were put into the smaller tight room with three 10 plus strong tables....
