This hotel was a lucky find on internet research. Good value for money with a breakfast that was perfectly filing and much fresher than the usual buffet type arrangements. Although on the edge of a Stanley housing scheme, it’s a bit off the beaten track...More

It is set on the boundaries of a housing estate but just off a big roundabout-you don’t feel like you are in an estate at all, the hotel has an Italian restaurant adjacent-“palazzo”, suitable for family dining. If you’re able to travel further afield “The South Causey Inn” is lovely, think gastro pub in a vintage setting-A short car journey or taxi ride away. Also Whickham features a a large selection of pubs and places to eat...a little further again and you have Gateshead and the metro centre. Hope that helps.
