Booked at very short notice for a weekend break to replace a cancelled trip abroad. Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room and a superb full breakfast each morning. Very handy for local attractions such as Beamish living museum and the Tanfield Railway - both about 5 mins away in the car. Will hopefully return there on a future occasion.

Amazing service from start to finish. We wanted to check in early as we were at a wedding at the South Causey Inn. Spoke to Lindsey who met us straight away to check us in. Room clean and comfortable with tea and coffee facilities as well as a kitchen. 7 minutes walk to the venue which was spot on. Next day breakfast was amazing full english 👌 fab stay and so friendly. Definitely be bacn for anymore future weddings. Thanks so much.

We stayed in the Ball Alley to attend a family party nearby. We were met by Michael and shown to our room. Lovely big room. Crisp white bedding. Tea and coffee. A spacious spotless bathroom. Shower was fantastic! There’s a pub downstairs but we didn’t hear a thing. Best part of our stay was the breakfast! Cereal, toast, juice, tea, coffee and a full English! We wouldn’t hesitate staying here again. Thanks so much!

We recently attended a wedding at the south caused inn, however I didn’t want to stay in the south causey so found this little gem! We were received with a warm, friendly welcome. I was shown to our room which was very clean and cosy. Breakfast was served between 8-9.30 (I think) this we served in the breakfast room which was also very clean and spacious. We were immediately asked if we wanted tea or coffee and there were a range of breakfast cereals, jams and juice available. We were brought toast and our order taken for a cooked breakfast. This was served quickly and with a genuine smile! The breakfast was very nice. I would definitely recommend staying here and hopefully will return in the future. £55 is a very fair price to pay for what we got. Thank you for a lovely stay
