Lovely views over the lakes from the bar area. The rooms are pretty basic but acceptable. Nothing fancy - that's for sure ! Nice part of town with a few bars and restaurants nearby. Service was a bit slow but was nice enough.

Fantastic views and friendly staff, cold beers and edible food. The rooms and toilets are however terrible and I doubt they could even be renovated due to their pitiful state. If you are OK with lots of mosquitoes, hot nights without fan or AC, trickling water showers and bare porcelain toilets that can hardly flush, this is your place!

The location is everything! Set in a sprawling garden where baboons and warthog amble around. The bar/restaurant has an incredible view of Lake Abaya and Lake Chano. The restaurant also has a TV area that mostly screens football games loudly and was often packed with locals students making use of the wifi. The rooms are shabby, unclean and overpriced at...

We (couple) have been working, living and traveling in Ethiopia for the last 2 years and stayed at Bekele Mola for 2 nights the past weekend (May 2-3). These 2 nights were among the worst hotel experiences we've had in Ethiopia so far. The rooms are very outdated and the beds and mattresses haven't been changed since the 1970's. The...

I heard this Hotel was once define luxury in the city, but it turn out to be old fashioned to me now. Despite the cleanness all room facility seems outdated need to refurbished. The Hotel has a magnificent position to watch both Abiyata and Chamo Lakes along with what locally term as the "God's Bridge", a mountain divide the two...

Arriving, it looks old. It is old. But it kept all the charm of the early days. With a service and food quality like not often found in Ethiopia. Relaxing terrace and even a snake eagle in the garden, eating...... a snake. Check that your water is hot in the room. All other hotels on the cliff were looking like...

Before Bekele Mola we checked out some shick hotel next to it but it was double the price. We bargained and got the price of locals which was around...
