Given where this hotel is, you have to go in with lowered expectations. I stayed here while working in the country, and I have to say, the food was good, there was security, and the room wasn't that bad. No AC, but again, expectations.

I have been to Paradise a couple of times, within a week. First time was an overnight stay, and a couple of nights three days later after field work out of Juba. I got a shipping container per-fab room with spiral staircases. Equipped with air con and WiFi, and a refregirator! I could work at the desk and catch up... More

The container rooms are equipped with air condition, shower, toilette, tv, WiFi and a fridge. Laundry service is available. The breakfast is very basic and mainly contains toast, coffee and cheese. Lunch and dinner is available in the hotel own restaurant but i only could eat noodles or pizza. It always depends what is available. Alcohol is available at the... More

I am a constant visitor to this hotel due to business requirements. While it is still a container room hotel, it has very freindly staff. Thakurdas the Indian chef is specially worth mentioning. Not only does he cook well he is also constantly meeting guests to take care of individual needs. Feels home away from home

Been traveling to Juba and staying at the Paradise hotel since 2008. The rooms (prefabs) are getting a little worn but the food, veranda, restaurants, espresso machine, bar, and friendly staff make up for any shortcomings in room comforts. I feel like I'm coming home when I arrive and greeting old friends. Rooms were being refurbished last time I was... More

I love the Chinese menu at Paradise Hotel. Every time I go it's always great. And you know Juba has plenty of Chinese and faux-Chinese food. You get plenty of food with your meal. The Sizzling Pork, Beef and Chicken are well-flavored, fantastic dishes. I usually see at least 3 tables with one of the Sizzling dishes whenever I arrive.... More

Food is amazing here. Period. I have no idea what everyone else is talking about. I've eaten her 20+ times and never been disappointed. They have a Chinese and Indian chef and they definitely know what they're doing. They make the food fresh and if you're seating upstairs it's got a great environment and you can even see the chefs... We've stayed several times in the past but never again. Overpriced, too many power outtages, poor internet connection, bad shower/water pressure, warm aircon, and too many flies around the food. Restaurants randomly closed for private functions or run out of food. You wait 1.5hrs for food to arrive. They charged US320/night for doubleroom and I didn't have one decent shower... More

I know a few people who have stayed in Paradise and been quite happy with it. The upstairs restaurant has pretty good pizza (al ponte in particular), however I ordered a Chinese dish once and it was terrible! It's a really nice place to sit though, one of the nicest in Juba, and the service is generally ok. Downstairs buffet... More

“There are two new containers with decent rooms but poor water pressure. All the rest of the single rooms are old and rotting, smell of mould and aircons faulty. Doublerooms will cost USD320-USD340 per night. Not worth it especially given wider choice in Juba now.”
