The hotel is just off the M6. The hotel is far enough away from the motorway to be peaceful, there is plenty of parking. The rooms are clean warm and comfortable. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and for the evening meal. All the food was of good quality and good value. All staff are freindly and helpful.

Stayed one night on local business. Interesting place as historic house not really the hotel focus, so once past reception you could be in any large chain hotel. Clearly popular conference, training, wedding venue and has scale and resources to cope, including gym. Not so busy on a snowy Feb day. Rooms well appointed, clean and comfy. Dinner in bar...

Just been today to the Wedding Fair. It was fabulous. The staff were so helpful. We had already booked for next year. It was lovely to see the room decoration. Everything was so personal. Can't wait for our daughters special day. Much better than a larger wedding fair. Well done Cranage.

First room we were given when we looked out of the window all we could see was the wall of a marquee. After contacting reception we were moved to another room with a bit of a view. Perhaps a mistake to change because we were then in the middle of rooms allocated to a conference going on. This involved doors...

Dear Guest, Please accept my sincere apologies for not having an enjoyable stay. Firstly my sincere apologies you had to move rooms due to the Marquee in the car park spoiling your view of our lovely Grounds. I am also sorry other guests disturbed you when trying to get a good night sleep. I am equally disappointed we did not...

This is my third visit to the hotel following previous good experiences. Food and facilities - pool, gym, restaurant - both dinner and breakfast - all lived up to expectations. Staff are very welcoming although I could have used a golf cart to transfer from the car pal to reception and the same again to my room seeing I was...

We visited this place for a wedding and really enjoyed it. The grounds and green spaces were excellent for photos. The rooms were average, but clean and comfortable. Not luxurious but a perfectly adequate hotel if attending an event there.

This rather grand building sets the scene for an accomplished business meeting venue as well as being a very pleasant place to stay. A few extra touches are welcome, such as the availability of free fresh fruit that has been grown on the estate. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was of decent quality and offered a good...

We've stayed here a few times on Murder Weekends, once we added on a couple of extra nights before the weekend, so that we could visit some National Trust properties. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The rooms comfortable and the food very good.
