We have stayed here before and once again found it to be clean quiet and friendly. It has rooms in an old house next to the restaurant which although not luxurious are clean and comfortable and above all quiet so you have a great nights sleep. The breakfast is a traditional bread jam and orange juice with croissants . The...

It's not as flash as it looks, but the room we had was clean, with a big bathroom and blissfully simple & functional shower. Quiet bit of town, but close to centre. Brekkie basic. Host helpful with good English, bikes garaged.

An excellent place to stop-off on a drive to the south coast. The hotel is very pleasant - large well-maintained rooms, nice gardens and a very friendly owner. The town itself is absolutely superbly picturesque - I'm surprised it's not crawling with tourists, but it definitely isn't! No complaints here! Eat at the Lion D'Or - a truly first class...

The hotel is easy to find , yet is situated in the backstreets of the newer part of town. It's handy for restaurants and local bars. It has seen better days and easily fits into that French provincial Hotel style that makes you remember the late 70's. The rooms are a bit tired and dated, with quite a few of...

Beausejour is a 2-star hotel at budget prices - so you can't expect too much! At one time it must have been the home of a wealthy merchant but it is now somewhat down on its luck and looking rather neglected. That said, the bedroom and bathroom were spacious, clean with basic furnishing and adequate storage space. The room was...

we stopped off in this quaint little town on the way back through to Portugal. The hotel is in the centre, easy to walk to everything, lovely owner, friendly cat in the garden. Nice big room, great value for money & good wifi. The town is very quiet & eating can be a problem as there isn't much about, the hotel...

A fantastic place to stay to explore the beauty of Chauvigny. Our room, for 3 people, was a good size, and a bonus was that the shower and toilet were separate. 2 minute walk to the town centre, which is small but vibrant. The proprietor was lovely and put us in a room overlooking the garden at the side of the...

My husband and I recently stayed in Hotel Beausejour as we were attending a wedding in the nearby St Julien l'Ars. It is a small hotel in a beautifully renovated house with a charming little garden for guests to relax in. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful; couldn't do enough for us. They were also generous with their time...

Our bus from Saint-Savin arrived at 7:30 in the morning, and the friendly staffed allowed us to check in early, which was much appreciated. Our double room came with two beds and was thoroughly clean and comfortable. The hot shower had seriously intense water pressure. With free WiFi, the low price of 46 euro we paid was a great value....
