I stayed at Hanora's Cottage for 2 nights with 10 walking friends. I would absolutely recommend this place for a relaxing weekend break whether or not you are a walker. Everything about our stay was positive: staff excellent, Mary friendly yet in charge, rooms very clean and well decorated, jacuzzi in bathroom unbelievable, food as good as reviews, area gorgeous....

Thank you Reenie, for your lovely positive review of our home. It was great to have your group and I am delighted that you all enjoyed walking the Comeragh Mountains. This is a wonderful spot for walkers and we get a lot of you hence the reason we put Jacuzzi's in every room! Do come again please! Mary.

Advance reservation worked fine and would we hoped ensure a warm reception at this acclaimed restaurant and guesthouse. Our arrival after a nearby hillwalk appeared to take the staff by surprise until they no so graciously acknowledged that the reservation had been made. There followed a series of omissions in service which left us wondering if non residents can enjoy...

HI Deirdre, Sorry that I was not here the evening you came for dinner. I apologise for the mix up with your reservation which was entirely my fault as I had forgotten to write it in! Please excuse my advancing years, it comes to everyone eventually, if they are lucky. Glad that you enjoyed your meal and if you decide...

For a long time I have wanted to stay at Hanora's Cottage and finally I made it recently. Sometimes reality fails to meet expectations, but that certainly was not the case on this occasion. The setting is beautiful, nestled between the mountains and oh so tranquil. I received a lovely welcome from Ina who served a lovely afternoon tea and...

Finola, it was great to have you with us at Hanoras. The moon walk was great, just a pity that the night was not just a little clearer, but the wonderful full moon did appear and we witnessed the Shuttle passing overhead just at the time our great guide had predicted. Please God, our next years "Moon Walk" will be...

We've just enjoyed an all-too-short one night break at Hanora's Cottage on Midsummer 's Day. After a most genuine welcome we were shown to our room where the comforting sound of the babbling waters of the river made for an amazing backdrop to our beautiful room. Tea/Coffee/Muffins were offered & gratefully accepted on the Terrace. Dinner was glorious, unhurried &...
