In general I am a big fan of the Marriott hotel chain, I am a frequent business traveler and have enjoyed many business and personal stays in Marriott properties. The Gaylord National, just outside DC looked great. Its right on the Potomac and a short drive from DC (We took the train), as you drive up the resort - in...

We booked this hotel for New Year's day and really enjoyed our stay. The holiday decorations were beautiful and we received an upgrade to a corner suite overlooking the Potomac River. The view was spectacular! This was our first time for the "Ice" show, and the carvings and slide were a remarkable accomplishment. We'll definitely return to National Harbor for...

We stayed the night of Jan 3 rd. This was our third year going to experience ICE, which we have really enjoyed in the past. Sadly we are done with this. The hotel seemed overbooked. Checking in and waiting for elevators took a long time, though check in was faster for us with the Marriott Elite membership. We stood in...

An adult ticket during "peak" days/times was $34 each, so a bit pricey plus if you go during peak times it's crowded. Lack of clear directions/signage proved a bit of a challenge figuring out where to get tickets and where to get parkas so getting into the ICE tent proved more tricky than other holiday events attended. Provided parkas a...

We took our grandkids this year for the Christmason the Potomac and "Ice". We stayed at the Gaylord. The hotel is magnificent, friendly, clean and very expensive. However, it is probably the only time we will do this and I am glad our grandkids got to experience the light show and the amenities provided. "Ice" is amazing, although very cold. But...

Took my family for a post Christmas overnight to the Gaylord National Harbor. The hotel is self is an amazing place!! Very well decorated for the holiday season. The atrium is an amazing sight in a gigantic Crystal Christmas tree and the fountain show would anybody would give anybody the holiday spirit. But nothing is not without a price ....

We have stayed at the Gaylord in the past before Marriott took over. This time we stayed because of the awesome Groupon deal which included tickets to the ICE show. We parked in the self parking garage ($24 per night). The check in line was incredibly long but the staff handled it quickly and efficiently. According to the staff, 90%...

My family and I have been wanting to do Ice at the Gaylord for a while. I jumped at the Groupon offer of $155. The Ice exhibit was nice but glad I did not spend $35 each. Hotel itself was nice but room ok. Beds were not comfortable. Elevators were a joke waited over 10 minutes each time until we...

Very nice the week after Christmas. Lobby fountain shows every evening hour fun and pretty. ICE! not much for adults to do inside but look around, but still interesting and not as expensive with a room package. Didn't pay to face atrium but still had a wonderful upscale room. Only complaint was overpriced food on resort--tasted good, but $15 for...
