Well located across the road from the train station. There is a convenience store a couple of minutes away. Early check in not permitted (as is normal in Japan where rules are rules). 3pm check in a bit late when there is a 10am check out but thus suited my plans on this occasion.
Apparently you get a free drink during happy hour but I was not there at that time. A nice touch.
Rooms small (again normal in japan) but not the worst.
I believe all the rooms are smoking rooms so it doesn't smell great.
Staff helpful in keeping bags before check in and after check out.
Breakfast was included which was not amazing but adequate especially when not at additional cost.
I 4/5 is my score. It is fairly average but a few things bump it up to being a little better than standard basic Japanese hotels namely free drink and breakfast and location.
One minor complaint is that they pillows are extremely small.

We stayed here as a group for a party and golf trip in Fujinomiya city. It is in front of Fujinomiya station and is a new building. The parking lot is at the back of the hotel, but it is difficult to find as you enter from a one-way alley. It is better to check the map in advance. The room was a double room for one person, but I think it is not small for a business hotel. There is a desk and chair in the middle of the room, which is an interesting arrangement. The bathroom in the unit is small but new and clean. There is coffee in the breakfast hall in front of the front desk, and you can take it to your room during the day. There seems to be a small bath, but we did not have time to use it. The breakfast was simple, with no local side dishes, just bread and rice, sausages, egg dishes, and salad, but I was busy going to golf, so I was glad that I could eat it in about 10 minutes.

The best thing about the Kuretake Inn is its proximity to the Fujinomiya station. You just walk across the street and you are there. The room was clean and functional, but nothing beyond that. The breakfast was adequate, but not great. The biggest challenge is having just one small elevator, so it can become quite busy at times. We ended up taking the stairs a couple of times in order to meet people in the lobby at a scheduled time. All-in-all an ok option, primarily because of the location.

This hotel is ideally situated just a 5mins walk from the railway and bus stations.
The rooms are very sterile, which is quite unwelcoming. That said, they have all that you need and both nights we slept well. There is a bath and wonderfully powerful shower. Toiletries are provided, along with coffee – I was disappointed no tea though.
The breakfast buffet is good, with a range of Asian and Western options. Each evening 6-8pm guests are also able to have a free alcoholic or soft drink, from a wide range of options.
Staff at reception were friendly and helpful, supporting us to plan our activities. The Fuji Heritage Centre is a 10-15mins walk, a bus to the Shairato Falls is 5mins walk away and we also visited an Onsen at a nearby hotel 30mins walk away or a 10mins taxi. I think the price felt a little high for the quality, but for a night or two, this hotel is ideal.

Don’t expect too much from the picture on TripAdvisor. The hotel is clean and surprisingly quiet, even having had a room directly beside the elevator. The room was spacious considering it is a business hotel but also comparatively expensive considering the location in the middle of nowhere. The furniture in the room is IKEA standard. Impressive however the big flatscreen TV. Besides sleeping there’s nothing you can do in the hotel. Mill restaurant and don’t waste your money on the breakfast. Overall OK when you just go there to sleep one night.

If you're looking to see Mt Fuji but not go to the super touristy "back" side this is a great hotel option. Walking distance to the food and market Street, right by the train station for easy traveling. The room we had was quite spacious with a kitchenette. The building itself seems older but the rooms have been updated nicely. There's breakfast and happy hour included. Breakfast has some alright options for the less adventurous in the morning. We showed up almost 2 hours after check in and staff was still there and friendly about our tardiness.

Staying here for two nights with three other teachers while our students have homestays in Fujinomiya. We reserved online but are pleasantly surprised at how much we get for the economy price: clean, newly appointed rooms, excellent Wi-Fi, nice full breakfast, laundry facilities, Japanese bath with security code access, convenient. Perfect for our stay. Knowledgeable polite staff. Only down side is the rooms are quite small, but it’s an economy hotel so we don’t mind. Beds are perfect firmness. :)

Everything about this place is PREMIUM! Only a few hundred yen more than the dump next door, but everything was outstanding! Excellent staff, spacious and clean room. Free breakfast buffet and the kitchen staff regularly replenish the dishes. Also each evening you can have 1 free drink. Beds and pillows were super comfortable. The hot spring bath was awesome and the men's has another one outside. There were no anti tattoo signs in the men's, but apparently the women's had a sign that stated tattooed people may be ejected. I will absolutely be staying there again soon!!

Nice room (small in the new wing), nice onsen, cute lobby, nice meals. Polka Kitchen nearby. Nice staff. We had a chore finding the new wing, you need to climb stairs and go here and there, but staff will help you. Love the help staff gave us with the bags. Nice amenities in the room.
